Piggy Birthday card

Here is a pretty piggy birthday card made using the Piggy Birthday stamp set and the Abigail Rose dsp.

The colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the piggy birthday card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Abigail Rose dsp – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Mint Macaron card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

The Abigail Rose dsp was glued to the Petal Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I flagged the ends of the Basic White strip and added it to the centre of the card front.

I stamped the adorable piggy on a motorbike image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to the Basic White panel 4¼” by 3”. I then ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with a Deckled Rectangle Die.

Using the following Blends Pens I coloured in the image – Petal Pink, Polished Pink, So Saffron, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate.

The decorated panel was added to the Mint Macaron layer which had been die cut using the slightly larger Deckled Rectangle die. The piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The Hippiest Hippos stamp set form Stampin' Up! used for a pretty on-point, ballerina themed card

On-Point with the Hippiest Hippos

I am sharing an adorable on-point card today made using the Sale-a-Bration Hippiest Hippos stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the on-point card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Rich Razzleberry card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Wonderful World dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Rich Razzleberry card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 2¾” by 2¾”

 

The panel of Wonderful World dsp was glued to the Rich Razzleberry layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. A length of Glittered Organdy Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

The sweet little hippo was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto the panel of Basic White card which was then die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I used Watercolor Pencils to colour in the image. Basic Gray and Rich Razzleberry from Assortment 1 and Flirty Flamingo from Assortment 2. I used a Blender Pen to smooth out the colour. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the tutu for a touch of glamour.

The coloured stitched square was the glued to the Rich Razzleberry square with liquid glue and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I coloured a trio of Pastel Pearls using the Blackberry Bliss Blends Pen and added them to the card front. A Glittered Organdy bow completed the card.

Jungle Elephant card for the TV & Movies Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the TV & Movies Blog Hop where we are sharing ………   projects inspired by TV or Movies! I have used the Elephant Parade stamp set which, when I first saw it screamed  JUNGLE BOOK and that sweet little son of Colonel Hathi, leader of the elephant patrol.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Jungle Elephant card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Old Olive card

 

I stamped the group of leaves in 2nd generation Old Olive ink, randomly all over the Old Olive card front.

Using the ‘ground’ image from the Paradise Palms stamp set I stamped along the bottom of the small Basic White panel and added the ‘grasses’ in the same ink.

I punched a circle from a Post It Note using the ¾” Circle Punch and added it to the small panel to act as a mask. Using a Blending Brush, I swirled on Tahitian Tide ink to give a sky effect. The mask was then removed and a Dauber used to add a little So Saffron to the sun.

The sweet little elephant was stamped on scrap Basic White card using Basic Gray ink. I used Smoky Slate and Petal Pink Blends Pens and a Colour Lifter to colour in the image. The Elephant Dies were used to die cut the image before it was added to the inked panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The group of leaves were stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Old Olive card and die cut using the Elephant Dies. I used the same dies to die cut some grasses. The grasses were added to the panel to hide the legs of the little elephant. The decorated panel was glued to the Basic White layer and then mounted onto the Old Olive card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Sit. Stay. Relax stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Basic Gray ink, I trimmed down the scrap and tucked it under the raised panel.

Today I am sharing a bumblebee card made using the retiring 2020-2022 In Colors and the lovely Hello Ladybug stamp set :

To recreate the bumblebee card, you will need:

Bumblebee card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Black card – 5⅛” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic Black, Bumblebee & Vellum

I stamped the large leaves in Just Jade ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

The flowers were added in Magenta Madness ink. The stamped panel was added to the Basic Black panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was added to the card front using the same glue.

Using the Ladybug Builder Punch, I punched out the Bumblebee from scrap Basic Black card. I cut ⅛” strips of Bumblebee card and glued them to the punched black shape. Using the same punch, I punched out the wings from scrap Vellum. And adhered them to the bee with Mini Glue Dots.

Purple Ladybug card

Today I am sharing a pretty card made using the cute Hello Ladybug stamp set and co-ordinating Ladybug Builder Punch. In the UK these insects are called Ladybirds.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the Ladybird card, you will need:

Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Black card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White & Basic Black

 

Using a Blending Brush, I swirled Pacific Point ink onto the smaller Basic White panel.

The trio of flowers were stamped, three times in Gorgeous Grape ink. I used the trio of tiny dots, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink around the flowers. The panel was then glued to the Basic Black panel.

The sentiment from the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set was tucked in below the flowers and stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I punched out the body of the ladybird form scrap Basic Black card. The wings were stamped in Real Red onto scrap Basic White card and punched out, again using the Ladybug Builder Punch.

The wings were shaped using my Bone Folder before being added to the black body with Mini Glue Dots along the top edge.

The ladybird was then added to the stamped panel on Dimensionals. The whole panel was then mounted onto the Gorgeous Grape card front using Dimensionals.

A scattering of Red Rhinestones finished the card.

Dog waiting for a walk

I am sharing a card today made using my two favourite stamp sets, Oceanfront and On the Horizon and……..I’ve added a dog…….what more could you want! The dog is most definitely waiting for a walk.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the waiting for a walk card, you will need:

Mossy Meadow card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛”
Balmy Blue card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic Black

 

I stamped the ‘sky’ in Balmy Blue and the field in Old Olive.

The earth was stamped using Sahara Sand ink and I added some spotty texture in the same

ink. The birds were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The row of trees was stamped on the skyline using Mossy Meadow ink. The grasses were stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Mossy Meadow ink.

The whole panel was glued to the Balmy Blue panel and then to the Mossy Meadow card front.

Dog Charity Event card

I designed this card as a make and take for a friend’s charity coffee morning. The event was for a dog charity so the Dog Punch was the perfect starting point. Unfortunately, due t storm Eunice I wasn’t able to get to the event…………

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the dog charity card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 3¼”
Soft Suede card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 2
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

 

We used the large circle image from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set to stamp randomly all over the card front using Pool Party ink.

The Soft Suede strips were glued to the back of the stamped panel and added to the card front.

The dog was punched out using the Dog Punch and added to the card front on Dimensionals. I provided scrap brown, black and yellow card stock for punching. I also brought along a selection of sentiments for the ladies to choose from.
