Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing anything but a card. I have chosen to share the treat pouches made for my November class attendees using the Reindeer Days and Snowy Scenes dsp.
I placed my square of dsp onto my Simply Scored Scoring Tool with points at the top and bottom and points on the left and right. I placed the left point and the top point at the 4¼” marks and scored on the left at 1½”
The square was rotated so that the 1 ½” scored line was at the bottom. The top and bottom points were lined up at the 6” point at the dsp was then scored at 4¾” and 7¼”. I cut away the small triangle of card where the lines cross. I then folded and burnished on all the scorelines.

I tucked the packet of wafer biscuits into the small bottom fold, wrapped the left-hand side over the biscuits, tucking it in behind. The right-hand flap was then folded over and secured on the back with a Mini Glue Dot.

A length of Pool Party Pompom Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured with a bit of Tear ‘n Tape.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat Pouches made for my November 2024 classes using the Reindeer Days and Snowy Scenes dsp – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop
The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink onto scrap Basic White card and punched out using a 2” Circle punch. I stamped around the edge of the circle with the snowflake image using Pool Party ink. The decorated circle was added to the ribbon belly band with a piece of Tear ‘n Tape.
Please hop along to share the inspiration provided by my crafty friends.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog hop where our theme is ‘any but a card’. I have used the Sketched Butterflies stamp set to make a sweet little wrap around, pinched top bag.
To recreate the wrap around, pinched top gift bag, you will need:
Thick Basic White card – 2¾” by 2¾” Basic White card – 8⅜” by 4½” Scrap Basic White card
Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the small square of Thick Basic White card at ⅜” on all four sides.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
I wedged out all four tabs and used Mini Glue Dots to add each tab to the outside of each side of the box. By gluing the tabs to the outside gives a much neater finish as they will not be seen when the box is finished.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
I randomly stamped the butterfly, from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink all over the 8⅜” by 4½” piece of Basic White card. I used the light and dark Fresh Freesia light and dark Lemon Lolly and light and dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Pens to add colour to the butterflies.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
The stamped layer was laid face down and strip of Tear n Tape was added to the bottom edge and the right-hand side. I removed part of the backing tape along the bottom and pressed the tape edge to the centre of one of the side panels. I carefully wrapped the layer around the box sides pressing it into place. When you reach the starting point, remove the remaining piece of tape and close the back by overlapping the edge.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
I pinched the top together and punched a hole. A piece of Lemon Lolly ribbon was fed through and secured. This holds the top together.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A butterfly wrap around, pinched top gift bag made using the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies stamp set
On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the sentiment from the Poised Peony stamp set in Flirt Flamingo ink. I used a die from the Enduring Beauty die set to cut out the image. I ran the sentiment through twice as I wanted the tag to be smaller. A hole was punched in the label and a piece of Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine fed through. I fed the twine through the ribbon and tied it in a bow.

A tiny stamped butterfly was added to the label to finish off the gift bag.

Today I am sharing the table gifts made for my January classes to hold a little chocolate treat in the form of a Caramel Freddo. This treat pouch was inspired by a Youtube video by Sandra Ronald.
Card stock 5” by 4 ¾” – I chose Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape Scrap Basic White card Ribbon
Using a Scoring Tool I scored the pieces of cardstock. On the long side at 1¾”, 2¼”, 4 and 4½” and on the short side at ½”.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
The small tab at the bottom of the ½” panel was removed using sharp scissors and a wedge removed from the bottom of the ½” panel. I cut up the sides of both of the small tabs then folded and burnished all of the scorelines.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
The ½” panel was then folded over and the 1 ¼” Circle Punch was inserted about ¼” from the bottom scoreline and a circle punched out. I used the first circle as a template to punch the circle in the same place on each pouch.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
Tear & Tape adhesive was applied to the ½” panel and the pouch was folded over and sealed. The 2 side tabs were then folded in and the bottom closed using Tear & Tape.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
From scrap Basic White card I punched a 1¼” Circle then over the resulting hole I punched the 1½” circle. This produced a circlular frame which I glued around the hole using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Treat pouches made to hold a Freddo Caramel bar for my January 2024 Class treats
I inserted the chocolate Freddo and pinched the top on both side to nip the pouch together and punched a ¼” hole through the back and the front of the pouch.
I fed some ribbon through the hole to close the pouch.
Aren’t they sweet?

Today, I am sharing the hanging ornament and trio of tags I designed for my December classes. I used the Stars At Night stamp set and dies to make the projects.
Gold Hoop – mine was about 4” 2 Circles of card stock or dsp which fit inside the gold hoop – I used the Shining Brightly dsp Scrap Basic White card Gold Ribbon
The ribbon was wrapped from the top to the bottom of the hoop, wrapped around and brought up to the top where it was wrapped around again and then tied in a double knot. The ends of the ribbon were then knotted to form a loop to hang the hoop.-
www.crafty-rootes.com – A hanging ornament made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Shining Brightly dsp for December classes
We slipped one die cut circle – I used the Stylish Circle dies to cut these from the Shining Brightly stamp set – behind the hoop and under the ribbon. The second circle was glued on top, sandwiching the ribbon in the middle.
We used the Stamparatus – any stamp positioner would work – to stamp 3 large stars which I had die cut using the Stars at Night Dies.
The stamped stars were then folded in half from top to bottom. We used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the stars down the centre line to make the folding easier.
The 3 stars were then glued together, one in the middle and one half of the other 2 glued on either side of the middle star. The back of the multiple star piece was then glued to the middle of the dsp inside the hoop.
Star at Night Tags
3 Starry Sky tags – cut using the Merriest Trees Dies 3 Basic White tags – cut using the Merriest Trees Dies Scrap Basic White and Gold Foil to die cut stars
Using a Blending Brush we added Starry Sky ink around the edges of 2 of the Starry Sky tags. The third tag was inked around the edges using another Blending Brush and Whisper White craft ink.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
When the first 2 tags were dry we added Whisper White ink to the centre of both tags.
When the tags were dry We stamped the rays of light image in the centre of 1 of the tags and a scattering of snowflakes around the edges of the other 2.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
From scrap Basic White and Gold Foil we die cut a selection of stars. The larger stars were glued to the inked tags and the smaller gold tags were added on top on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
The white tags were then stamped with ‘To and From’ from the Sending Cheer stamp set and adhered to the back of the Starry Sky tags, slightly offset.
We used Simply Elegant Trim to make the ties for the tags.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing gift packaging ideas. I saw a Youtube video a while ago, posted by fellow demonstrator Angie Juda using the Merriest Trees Bundle to make a sweet box and I have adapted it to make treat boxes for the customers coming to my October classes.
To recreate the merriest trees box, you will need:
Pretty Peacock card – 5¾” by 4¼” Pretty Peacock card – 8⅛” by 2 Scrap Basic White card
Using the Merriest Trees Dies I die cut 2 large trees from the 5¾” by 4¼” panel of Pretty Peacock card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
On one of the die cut pieces I stamped the snowy boughs image in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and Heat set it with my Heat Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool I scored the 8⅛” by 2” strips of Pretty Peacock card – on the short side at ½” and 1½” and on the long side at ½”, 1¼”, 4” & 5¼”. I wedged out the tabs and created the top as shown in the picture below.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the right side to the bottom and, having closed the top, the left side to the bottom to create the treat holder piece.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
The treat holder piece was glued to the back of the undecorated die cut tree, taking care that it wasn’t visible. The decorated tree was then glued to the front of the box, again making sure to line it up so that it would stand.

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘Anything But a Card’. I like to give the ladies who come to my monthly class a little treat and these little, no glue treat holders – made to hold 2 Merci chocolates – were made for my April class attendees. I was inspired by a YouTube video made by The Paper Pixie.
To recreate the no glue, treat holder, you will need:
DSP – 4⅝” by 3¾” Scrap Basic White & Gorgeous Grape
Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the dsp using the thicker end of the stylus. I find if I use the thinner end on dsp I often tear the paper.
I scored on the short side at – ¾”, 1½”, 2¼” and 3” and on the long side at ¾” and 3⅞”.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty little no glue treat box to hold 2 Merci chocolates for the ‘Anything but a card’ Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop
As per the template above, I scored on the diagonal the 4 inner squares on either end, using the stylus from the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty little no glue treat box to hold 2 Merci chocolates for the ‘Anything but a card’ Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop
Using a Bone Folder and folded and burnished all the straight score lines, then using my fingers folded down the diagonal score lines.

Some lovely ladies gathered at my house yesterday to make the pretty Wreath of Blooms Kit. I love our kits, they are so easy to put together and so easy to customise as well.
I had made my wreath up beforehand so that I had some idea how it went together. I had also decided to frame mine.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Wreath of Blooms kit made up as designed, or customised and framed in an Easter themed workshop
The ladies popped out all the pieces of that made up the flowers and leaves. Using bone folders they shaped the flower petals and stacked them together before adding the centre pieces and the brads to hold them together.
Each leaf was folded down the middle and again shaped with a bone folder and/or fingers.
The yellow flower was created by loosening the fibres with a bone folder before folding in half down the length. It was held together with a strip of Tear ‘n Tape. The flowers were then rolled up using Mini Glue Dots, inserted periodically to hold the flower together.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Wreath of Blooms kit made up as designed, or customised and framed in an Easter themed workshop
The flowers and leaves were then added to the triangular back piece using either hot glue, Tear ‘n Tape or Mini Glue Dots.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Wreath of Blooms kit made up as designed, or customised and framed in an Easter themed workshop
All of the ladies decided to cover the cardboard wreath using either Jute Twine (from my stash) or lace trim which one lady brought with her. The flowers are leaves were then added to the wreath with Hot Glue to complete the wreath.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Wreath of Blooms kit made up as designed, or customised and framed in an Easter themed workshop
One of the ladies decided to frame her wreath and chose a piece of Bloom Where You’re Planted dsp, cut to 9⅛” by 9⅛” to cover the back panel. She adhered the two together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The Wreath was added to the back panel of the shadow box with Hot Glue and the flowers were then added with the frame in place. The decorated piece was inserted into the frame and the back closed.
They all looked really lovely. I hope you like them.

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a photo/colour challenge. A soon as I saw the colours, I thought they would make a fantastic floral Mother’s Day card, so that is what I made. This floral planter was inspired by a project made by Bronwyn Eastley of Addinktive Designs.
Thick Basic White card – 11¾” by 3” scored on the long-side at 2¾”, 5½”, 8¼” & 11½” Thick Basic White card – 3½” by 1“x 2 scored at ¼” on each end. Scrap Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green
Using one of the dies from the Something Fancy Dies set, I cut a piece from all 4 sides along the bottom, this created the ‘legs’ for my planter. The whole piece was then embossed using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. I embossed it one end at a time. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the tab to the side f the box, forming a square ‘planter’ with legs.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dainty Delight dies used to make a beautiful floral planter for a special Mother’s Day card and shared in the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
I folded and burnished the smaller strips of Basic White card, added glue to each small tab and each piece was inserted carefully inside the ‘box’ to form the struts across.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dainty Delight dies used to make a beautiful floral planter for a special Mother’s Day card and shared in the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
I die-cut lots of greenery from scrap Granny Apple Green card and glued it to the inside of the box using both struts and the front and back panels.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dainty Delight dies used to make a beautiful floral planter for a special Mother’s Day card and shared in the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
The parts for the purple flowers were die cut using Granny Apple Green card for the bases and Gorgeous Grape for the flowers. I glued them together with the same liquid glue. They were added to the back panel of the box.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dainty Delight dies used to make a beautiful floral planter for a special Mother’s Day card and shared in the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
The daisies were die-cut using Daffodil Delight card and the flower centres from Basic White card. I glued them together with liquid adhesive and added them to the foliage. I die cut the plumes of flowers from Poppy Parade card and the smaller flowers from Polished Pink card. They were added to the card with liquid glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dainty Delight dies used to make a beautiful floral planter for a special Mother’s Day card and shared in the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White card and die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was added to the front of the box.
Classic Matte Dots were then added to the centre of each small flower to complete the card. This will fit into a standard C6 envelope but I will be hand delivering it to my Mum.

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop where we are sharing 3 D projects. I am sharing the box I created to hold a Stampin’ Up! Ink pad. For every sixth class my customers attend they get to choose an ink pad of their choice and I decorate this box to match their colour choice.
Basic White card – 11¼” by 5¼” – scored on the long-side at ¾”, 5 ¼”, 6” and 10½” and on the short-side at ¾” by 4½” Designer Series Paper – 4¼” by 3½” Soft Suede card – 2½” by 2½” Basic White card – 2½” by 2½” Scrap Basic White
I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the Basic White card as detailed above.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty box designed to contain a Stampin’ Up! ink pad and decorated using the Flowers of Friendship and Alphabest stamp sets for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
Using sharp scissors, I cut free the 3 tabs on either side, notching in the sides. I also cut a wedge from each side of the box top as shown in the picture. A ½” Circle Punch was used to provide a notch at the front of the box to make it easier to open.

Hello and Welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing packaging ideas. I have a pretty pinch top bag which I have made to hold a Lotus biscuit, my treat for the ladies coming to class this week.
Basic White card – 2½” by 1½” Pattern Party dsp – 4⅝” by 4” Basic White – 3½” by 1¼”
Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the 2½” by 1½” piece of Basic White at ½” on all four sides.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty pinch topped bag made using the Pattern Party dsp and Oceanfront stamp set for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
I cut down to form the four tabs and wedged out a little to help the tabs fold in efficiently to give a better finish.
Fold on all the score lines, add strong glue to each tab and fold in to form a 3d base.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty pinch topped bag made using the Pattern Party dsp and Oceanfront stamp set for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
Stick Tear ‘n Tape all the way around the outside of the box and as near the bottom as possible. It is really important to use a strong adhesive for this. Also place a strip of Tear ‘n tape along the 4” edge of the dsp on the reverse side
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty pinch topped bag made using the Pattern Party dsp and Oceanfront stamp set for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
Peel off the adhesive backing: place the edge of the 4⅝” piece of dsp (the edge without the Tear ‘n Tape) against the bottom of the box with the chosen pattern to the outside. I always start in the middle of one of the long sides as you get a better finish to your bag.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty pinch topped bag made using the Pattern Party dsp and Oceanfront stamp set for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
Using your fingers work the dsp around the sides of the box pressing it onto the Tear ‘n Tape. Resist the temptation to crease the dsp, you get a better finish. You should have about ½” of an overlap with the adhesive on the inside.

Peel off the backing and adhere the two sides off the dsp together allowing it to bow out a little.

I die cut a tag from the remaining piece of Basic White using the Tailor-Made Tag Dies.
The ground was stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the sky in Balmy Blue ink. I added the grasses with Early Espresso ink and stamped the sentiment, from the Hydrangea stamp set in Sahara Sand ink.
