Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a sketch. I have used the Hello Ladybug stamp set and the Bright & Beautiful dsp to make my bright ladybird card.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the bright ladybird card, you will need:
Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Lemon Lime Twist – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner
Bright & Beautiful dsp – 5⅜” by ⅜” x 5
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White & Basic Black
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the strips of Bright & Beautiful dsp to the smaller panel of Basic White card.
I added dots in Bubble Bath ink either side of the dsp. The panel was then glued to the Lemon Lime Twist layer and then to the Azure Afternoon card base.
The large leaf from the Hello Ladybug stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I used a pair of Scissors to cut out the leaf and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.
The ladybird body was punched from scrap Basic Black card.
I stamped the wings in Azure Afternoon ink onto scrap Basic White card, punched them out, curved the wings with a Bone Folder and added them to the ladybird body with a Mini Glue Dot. I then glued it to the large leaf.
The sentiment was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink and a trio of Pastel Sequins completed the card.
