Blessings Embossed for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects featuring embossing. My blessings embossed thank you card uses both dry and heat embossing and the Blessings of Home stamp set.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the blessings embossed card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Early Espresso card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2 – 1 for the inside
Early Espresso card – 2” by ½”
Scrap Basic White card

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I embossed one of the Basic White panels with the Bark Embossing Folder. The embossed layer was glued to the Early Espresso panel and a length of Flirty Flamingo Ribbon wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then added to the Flirty Flamingo card front.

I stamped the larger floral image onto scrap Basic White card using Versamark ink. I covered the stamped image with Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it.

The image was die cut using the Flowers of Home Dies. I then coloured the image using the following Blends Markers – Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, SU200 and SU300. The coloured image was then added to the crad front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Early Espresso card, covered it in White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

To finish the card, I added a trio of Brass Butterflies. So pretty.

  1. This image is so breathtaking heat embossed with Copper, Mo! The coloring is amazing (love that you used two of the Naturals Collections Blends!) and the Brushed Brass Butterlies were the perfect touch. Love that you chose three embossing elements. Thanks for the inspiration and for hopping with us. xx
