Birthday Balloons card

Here is a pretty birthday balloons card made using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set combined with the Biggest Wishes stamp set.

Colours used in this card are;

 

To recreate the birthday balloon card, you will need:

Parakeet Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded Upper right corner
Blackberry Bliss card – 5⅛” by 3⅝” – Rounded Upper right corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3½” Rounded Upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside – Rounded Upper right corner

 

I began by stamping the sentiment from the Biggest Wishes stamp set along the bottom of the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

 

The balloons were then stamped in Parakeet Party, Lemon Lolly and Blackberry Bliss ink. I balloon on the right was stamped in Lemon Lolly but I obviously hadn’t cleaned the stamp properly as it looks more apricot in colour!

 

The balloon strings were stamped in Parakeet Party and Blackberry Bliss ink.

 

The stamped panel was glued to the Blackberry Bliss panel leaving the dark colour showing only on the left side and the top. The whole piece was glued to the Parakeet Party card base using the same liquid glue.

 

A trio of Iridescent Pearls completed the card. A very bright colour combo.
