Today I am sharing a pretty bee themed card made using the Honey Bee stamp set. I can’t get enough of this stamp set and the gorgeous Golden Honey dsp. I made this card for the Global Design Challenge #239 where the theme is Flutter and Fly.
To recreate the Bee themed card you will need:
Seaside Spray card Base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic Black – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Seaside Spray – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Whisper White – 3” by 3”
Golden Honey dsp – 3⅝” by ½” x 2
I stamped the larger bee randomly over the Seaside Spray panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and adhered it to the Basic Black panel.
The 2 strips of dsp were added across the the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was then added to the card front with the same adhesive.
I stamped the same bee on the square of Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The bee was then die cut out using the Stitched Shapes dies.
The sentiment from the Little Ladybug stamp set was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink onto the die cut circle.
I coloured in the stripes on the bee with the Daffodil Delight Blends Combo and painted the wings with the Clear Wink of Stella.
A trio of Gold Metallic Pearls completed the card. I hope you like it
