I have been playing with my Watercolor Pencils today and have used them to make a Batik Beauty stamp set using the Batik Boutique stamp set.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the Batik Beauty card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Melon Mambo card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Crumb Cake card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Using Crumb Cake ink, I stamped the large outline flower onto the Crumb Cake panel and used pencils from both of our watercolor sets to colour in the image. The colours I used were Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point & Whisper White. I love the soft effect the pencils give.
I punched a label from the centre of the Melon Mambo panel and the smaller Basic White panel using the Tailored Tag Punch.
Using Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive I glued the stamped panel to the Melon Mambo piece and then to the smaller Basic White layer.
I wrapped a length of Flowers for Every Season Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape and glued the whole panel to the Crumb Cake card base.
The sentiment from the Eden’s Garden stamp set was stamped in Melon Mambo ink on the punched label. I cut the Melon Mambo label across the middle and glued it to the sentiment. The whole piece was mounted on the card front on Dimensionals.
I added a bow and a scattering of Subtle Sequins to complete the card.
So pretty, I hope you like it.
