It is my brother and sister-in-laws’ wedding anniversary later this week and today I am sharing the card I made for them using the Banner For You stamp set. My inspiration came from a card I saw on Youtube, designed and demonstrated by the very talented Dena Rekow – click on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1 to see her original project. I have changed the card base and the colour palette used for my version.
I cut the 2nd largest Lots of Labels die from Whisper White cardstock using my Big Shot machine. Onto this Whisper White piece I stamped the flowers, randomly using Flirty Flamingo ink. I then added the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink and the little circles in Wisteria Wonder ink. To fill in the gaps I stamped the cluster of 3 dots using Peakaboo Peach ink. Love these colours together, they look so fresh and summery.
I stamped the banner image in Pear Pizzazz ink before stamping the words onto the banner image and running it through the Big Shot with the co-ordinating Bunch of Banners framelits.
I ran a layer of Pear Pizzazz cardstock through the Big Shot using the Ruffled Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder to give it some dimension. These dynamic textured impressions folders are fabulous, they add such a wow factor to a project.
To assemble the card I used a Thick Whisper White card base and added the embossed Pear Pizzazz layer to the front using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. I layered the stamped label on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals with the banner added on top with another layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals. Love the clean and fresh look of this card. In fact I loved it so much that I made another version for my cousin and his wife who also celebrate their anniversary later this week. Let’s hope both couples like their cards. Which colour combo do you prefer?
