Hello and welcome to the Back to School Blog Hop where we are sharing projects with a school theme. I have used two main stamp sets to create my card – Alphabest and Cheerful Basket.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the back to school card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Real Red card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White. Pear Pizzazz & Crumb Cake
I ran the smaller panel of Basic White through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and glued it to the Real Red card layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to add the panel to the Crumb Cake card base.
The ‘nest’ image from the Cheerful Basket stamp set was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto scrap Crumb Cake card and fussy cut it out using sharp Scissors. I added the image to the card front on Dimensionals.
Using a dauber, I smeared Real Red and Daffodil Delight ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut the apples using the Full Basket Dies. I also die cut the stems and leaves from scrap Pear Pizzazz. The stems were added to the apples with a dab of liquid glue. The apples were then tucked into the basket/
I stamped the outline labels from the Alphabest stamp set in Pacific Point, Real Red & Daffodil Delight inks onto scrap Basic White. I added the letters in the same colours inside the labels before punching them out with the Best Label Punch.
The letters were mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals and a trio of Brushed Brass Butterflies completed the card.
I think the nest makes a great fruit basket, don’t you?
