Tri-fold Teacup card for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where we are showcasing fun fold cards. I have made a pretty tri-fold teacup card using the lovely Design A Daydream designer series paper.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the tri-fold teacup card, you will need:

Mint Macaron card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at a smidgeon over 2” and at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5⅝” by 4”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5⅝” by 1⅞”
Design A Daydream dsp – 3¾” by 1⅞”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 1⅞”
Basic White – 3” by 3”
Vellum – 3” by 3”
Scrap Basic White card

I scored the Mint Macaron card using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The score lines were then folded and burnished.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the largest piece of dsp to the largest panel of the card base. I placed the two strips of dsp against the relevant panels of the card base and marked, in pencil where I needed to trim the dsp on an angle. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the dsp down. The pieces were glued to the card front.

I repeated this step with the 5⅝” by 1⅞” strip of Basic White card. The sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the panel before it was glued to the inside panel of the card base. I inked each word up individually before stamping.

Dots, Spots & Dragonflies for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using some on the gorgeous stand-alone dies. I have chosen to use the pretty Dots & Spots Die in an unusual way.

Highland Heather card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Dots & Spots Die used with the Dragonfly Garden stamp set to make a card for the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

The sentiment comes from the Sit. Stay. Relax. Stamp set. I masked off the words I didn’t want and inked up the remainder with Gorgeous Grape ink, removed the mask and stamped it onto the strip of Highland Heather. I flagged the end and added it to the card front.

A fruit juice or mocktail themed card made using the Brewed for You stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Juice Anyone?

I have been playing with the Brewed For You stamp set today and have made card which would be great for a child or young teenager.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the juice anyone? Card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Daffodil Delight card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Abigail Rose dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Gray card – 4” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the panel of Abigail Rose dsp to the Daffodil Delight layer. A length of White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Smoky Slate card base.

Six glasses were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card. To create the fruit juice effect, I stamped the inner image in Tahitian Tide ink for blue raspberry, Parakeet Party for limeade, Daffodil Delight for lemonade, Sweet Sorbet for strawberry and Blackberry Bliss for blackcurrant.

Using clear packing tape, I covered all the stamped images before die cutting them out using the Brewed Dies. This made the glasses shiny……. so cute.

Using the Deckled Rectangle Dies, I die cut rectangles from the smallest Basic White panel and the Basic Gray panel. I added ‘ground’ using a Smoky Slate Blends Pen. The ‘bubble’ image was stamped along the top in Basic Gray ink. The two rectangles were then glued together.
