A pretty snowflake themed card made using the Joyful Flurry stamp set and the Frosted Flurry dies by Stampin' Up!

Pop-Up Snowflake card

I have been playing with the Joyful Flurry stamp set and Frosted Flurry Dies to make a pretty pop-up snowflakes Christmas card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pop-up snowflakes card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Bermuda Bay card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Bermuda Bay card – 3¾” by 2½”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

The three smaller snowflakes were stamped in the upper right and lower left corners of the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card using Bermuda Bay, Fresh Freesia and Starry Sky inks. The stamped panel was then adhered to the Bermuda Bay layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was then mounted onto the Starry Sky card base using the same liquid glue.

A sketch/color challenge theme for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop featuring the Mountain Air stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Mountain Scene for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop where we are working with a sketch and Colour Challenge.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the mountain scene card:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Daffodil Delight card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside

I stamped the detailed mountain image in Starry Sky ink across one of the Basic White panels. I cleaned the stamp, adhered it to the block with the detailed side against the block and inked up the reverse with Fresh Freesia ink. I stamped this off on scrap paper before stamping it over the detailed image to provide a shadow.

The detailed line of trees was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink at the base of the mountains. I inked the image again, stamped off onto scrap paper, turned the image upside down and stamped again in the foreground. I stamped multiple times until all the ink was gone.

Using a Post It Note, punched with a 1” Circle Punch I placed it in the sky overlapping the mountain range. I used Sponge Daubers to add Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink above the mountains to indicate a sunset. I removed the mask and added a little Daffodil Delight ink to the moon.

Joyful Flurry card for OnStage Swaps

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I originally designed this card using a sketch layout for our Team Training event back in September…………….but forgot to take them with me…………duh…. So I decided to make some more and use them as my card swap for the OnStage Live event in Vienna. I used the Joyful Flurry stamp set and co-ordinating Frosted Flurry Dies to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Joyful Flurry card, you will need:

Tahitian Tide card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Orchid Oasis card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2 – one for the inside– rounded upper left corner
Orchid Oasis card – ⅜” strip
Scrap Basic White card

Using a Blending Brush, I applied a light swirl of Tahitian Tide ink to the centre of one of the Basic White panels.

The largest image was then stamped in Orchid Oasis ink and the second smallest in Parakeet Party ink. The second largest snowflake was stamped in Parakeet Party ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut it using the Frosted Flurry Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. This was added to the panel on Dimensionals.

I stamped the smallest snowflake in all three colours onto the decorated panel which was then glued to the Orchid Oasis layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was then added, with the same liquid glue, to the Tahitian Tide card front.

The sentiment was stamped onto the ⅜” strip of Orchid Oasis card in Versamark ink. I used the embossing Buddy prior to stamping to reduce the static. I added the White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. It was added on Mini Dimensionals, straddling the Parakeet Party snowflake.

A trio of 2022 – 2024 In Color Dots completed the card.
