Today I am sharing a sweet card I made for The Spot Challenge #102 where the theme is ‘Good Luck’. I have used the My Meadow stamp set.
To recreate the Good Luck card you will need;
Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 Garden Green – 3⅞” by 2¾” Whisper White – 4” by 2¾” Poppy Parade – 2” by 1”
I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut a stitched scalloped rectangle from the smallest piece of Whisper White card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A good luck card for the Spot Challenge #102 using the My Meadow stamp set
The scene was stamped on the die cut layer using Garden Green, Gray Granite, Pretty Peacock and Poppy Parade inks. I added the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set with Pretty Peacock ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A good luck card for the Spot Challenge #102 using the My Meadow stamp set

We had Tulips classes last week using the lovely Timeless Tulips stamp set and the Tulip Builder Punch to make 3 cards one of which was a sweet box card. Every card in this month’s classes also used an embossing folder by special request.
To recreate the Tulips class box card you will need:
Thick Whisper White – 9” by 8¼” scored on the long side @ 2⅛”, 4¼”, 6⅜”, & 8½” Scored on the Short side – @ 2¾” – then place on the trimmer with the 2¾” score on the left and cut off at 6” – Take the off cut and cut down to get 2 pieces with a small tab at each end. Flirty Flamingo 5⅞” by 2” x 2 Flirty Flamingo 2⅝” by 2” x 3 Whisper White W 5½” by 1⅞” x 2 Whisper White W 2½” by 1⅞” x 3 Old Olive ¼” strips x 6 cut in half. Scrap Whisper White Whisper White Envelope
With the smaller 4 rectangles towards you and the thinnest rectangle to the right we cut away the smallest rectangle. We then cut up each of the scorelines to the horizontal score line to form the flaps of the box card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Timeless Tulips Bundle stamp set and Punch used for March classes
We took the off cut strips and adhered then inside the box to serve as dividers.
The long thin Whisper White panels were adhered to the Long Flirty Flaming panel and added to the front and back of the back panel of the box.
We embossed the 3 small Whisper White panels using the Parisian Flourish embossing folder, added them to the small Flirty Flamingo panels then to the flaps of the box.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Timeless Tulips Bundle stamp set and Punch used for March classes
The ladies stamped a row of tulips in 4 colours onto scrap Whisper White card stock – 8 tulips in all and punched them out using the Tulip Builder Punch. We attached the Old Olive ‘stems’ with Mini Glue Dots. They were then added to the dividers and the back of the box with Mini Glue Dots
To recreate the muti-coloured Tulip card you will need;
Real Red –8 ¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Old Olive 5⅜” by 3¾” Whisper White 5¼” by 3⅝” Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” Old Olive 5⅜”by 2⅛” Whisper White 5⅜” by 2 Scrap Whisper White Whisper White Envelope
The smooth side of the Stone Embossing folder was inked up using Old Olive ink and ran it through the Big Shot using the new blue embossing plate. I love the effect this gives. The embossed layer was glued to the Old Olive panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then to the Real Red card front using the same adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Timeless Tulips Bundle stamp set and Punch used for March classes
We stamped a flower in each of the four colours and punched them out. The flowers were then curled from side to side using the bone folder to give a bit of dimension.
The stems and leaves were stamped on the long thin Whisper White panel and the flowers added with a dimensional. The stamped panel was added to a layer of Old Olive, then to the card front with the liquid adhesive.
To recreate the Flirty Flowers card you will need:
Flirty Flamingo –8 ¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Real Red 5½” by 3¾” Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” Old Olive 4⅛”by 2½” Whisper White 4” by 2⅜” Whisper White 4” by 2 ½” for punching Whisper White Envelope
We inked up the flowers with Flirty Flamingo ink then used a sponge dauber to add Real Red ink around the base of each flower before stamping the flower onto scrap Whisper White card stock and punching it out. The flowers were shaped in the same way as for the previous card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Timeless Tulips Bundle stamp set and Punch used for March classe
The background was embossed using the Scripty Embossing Folder and one of the Whisper White panels. This was adhered to the Real Red panel, then to the Flirty Flamingo card base.
The stems and leaves were stamped on the small Whisper White panel in Old Olive ink and the flowers added as before on a dimensional.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Timeless Tulips Bundle stamp set and Punch used for March classes
I chose a lovely Spring colour palette for these classes. I hope you like the cards

Welcome to this months Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where our theme is Girls/Boys. If you have hopped over from Libby Dyson’s blog welcome and I hope you will hop on to see what the other talented demos have to share with us this month.
Like many I find children’s card a bit of a challenge and after a lot of messing about I have decided to go simple and slightly left field.
To recreate the Girls/Boys card you will need:
Bermuda Bay card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Terracotta Tile – 5½” by 3¾” Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 Scrap Whisper White
I took one of the panels of Whisper White and masked off a strip from top to bottom using Post It notes. I used a Sponge to apply Pool Party ink to the exposed strip of card stock.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A sweet childs birthday card made using the Celebrate With Cake stamp set.
I removed the Post It Notes and stamped the sweet little balloon in Terracotta Tile, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay inks onto the inked strip. I love these colours together don’t you.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A sweet childs birthday card made using the Celebrate With Cake stamp set.
I added the Terracotta Tile layer to the Bermuda Bay card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive – I decided it looked better offset. The stamped layer was added to the card front, again offset using Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A sweet childs birthday card made using the Celebrate With Cake stamp set.
On a scrap of Whisper White card stock I stamped the sentiment banner using Terracotta Tile ink and cut it out using sharp scissors. It was added to the card base with the liquid adhesive.
