A pretty outdoor themed birthday card made using the Mountain Air stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Camilla’s Birthday card

It was my daughter Camilla’s birthday yesterday, she was 30………how did she get to be that old! Camilla is not a really girlie girl, loves the outdoors, climbing, diving, walking etc so I made her a cute card based around these things.

To recreate Camilla’s birthday card you will need:

Crumb Cake card stock – 11” by 4⅛” – scored on the longside at 5½”
Crumb Cake card stock – 11” by 1” – scored on the longside at 2¾”, 5½” & 8¼”
In Good Taste dsp – 5¼” by 3⅞” x 4
Shaded Spruce – 4 ¾” by 3⅜” x 2
Shaded Spruce – 3⅜” by 2½” x 4
Whisper White – 4½” by 3⅛” x 2
Whisper White – 3⅛ by 2¼” x 4
Scrap Early Espresso and Gold Foil

I began by using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the 4 panels of dsp to the 4 sides of the large Crumb Cake panel. This forms the main structure of the card. I added the 2 large Shaded Spruce panels to the front and back of the card using the same glue.

I added the 1”strip of Crumb Cake card stock to the inside panels using liquid glue. The glue was only added to the 2 end pieces.

The front panel of the card was created using one of the larger panels of Whisper White and the Mountain Air stamp set. I love this set, it is so versatile. I stamped with Crumb Cake ink, Shaded Spruce ink, Mossy Meadow ink and Pool Party ink. The sky was sponged in using the Balmy Blue ink and the moon was masked using a ¾” circle punched from a Post It Note. The stamped panel was glued to one of large Shaded Spruce panels and added to the card front using the same liquid adhesive.

I took one of the smaller Whisper White and stamped the lighthouse from the Sailing Home stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. The sky was sponged in Balmy Blue and I sponged a little Crumb Cake around the base of the light house. The panel was added to one of the small Shaded Spruce panel and added to the left hand inside panel.

The 2^nd Whisper White panel was stamped using the Do The Impossible stamp set which has sadly retired. I stamped the runners again onto a Post It Note, trimmed it out using sharp scissors and used it to masked off the runners. I then stamped the mountains, trees and water using the Mountain Air stamp set. The runners were coloured using using Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Ivory & Bronze Blends markers. The stamped layer was then glued to small Shaded Spruce panel then to the inside of the card.

For the 3^rd panel I used the Mountain Air stamp set again, adhered the stamped panel to the Shaded Spruce panel then to the right side of the card.

The 4^th and final inner panel was sponged using Balmy Blue ink. The sentiment from the Family Party stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink. Using the World dies I cut the globe from scrap Early Espresso card and the stand from Gold Foil and added them to the sponged base. This was adhered to the last Shaded Spruce panel and then to the card base.

The remaining large Whisper White panel was adhered to the last Shaded Spruce panel and glued to the back of the card giving somewhere to write a message.

I really hope Camilla likes her card.

Striped Forever

Here is a lovely striped forever blossoms card in pretty, soft and muted colours.

To recreate the striped Forever Flowers card you will need:

Purple Posy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Blushing Bride – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner x 2

Using Post It Notes I masked off a 1” strip towards the top of the card and sponged on some Purple Posy ink.

I moved the Post It Notes down ¾” and coloured the second strip with Blushing Bride ink. The third strip was coloured using Soft Sea Foam ink.

The gorgeous spray of blossoms from the Forever Blossoms stamp set was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped on top of the stripes. So pretty…

The sentiment from the Waterfront stamp set was stamped on the card front in Memento Tuxedo Black.

The stamped layer was glued to the Blushing Bride panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. It was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Waterfront

Today I am using the Waterfront stamp set to make a beach hut themed card. I have had this stamp set in my stash for a long time and haven’t used it very much as I was a bit scared of it………….. I know, crazy. I finally realised that you just have to go for it.

To recreate the Waterfront card you will need:

Sahara Sand card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Pool Party 3⅞” by 3¼” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 3¾” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Daffodil Delight – ½” strip
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Whisper White

Using Sahara Sand ink I stamped the trees and palm leaves in along the bottom of the Sahara Sand card base. The daffodil delight strip was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the ‘beach’ in Sahara Sand 2^nd generation ink onto the centre of the small Whisper White panel. I stamped the ‘sea’ in full strength Pool Part ink I then stamped off onto scrap paper and stamped the sky in the 3^rd generation ink above the beach.

The huts were stamped in Pacific Point ink and Poppy Parade ink. The tree trunks were stamped in full strength Sahara Sand ink and the leaves added in Granny Apple Green ink.

The sun was added with a sponge dauber and Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped multiple times around the image to soften the look. The stamped layer was then adhered to the Pool Party layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the Waterfront stamp set was stamped in Pool Party ink onto scrap Whisper White card and trimmed out. It was added to the card front with liquid glue.

The whole panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals. I added a trio of Woven Threads Sequins to complete the card.

Wild Rose

This card was inspired by a card made by Tanya Rees during her online catalogue launch event last month. She and my lovely upline Mikaela Titheridge collaborated and brought us all a fantastic online event. I used the Wild Rose stamp set for my version of the card.

To recreate the Wild Rose card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5” by 4”
Flowers For Every Season dsp – 4⅛ by 1¼”
Scrap Just Jade & Whisper White

I die cut a large Stitched Rectangle from the layer of Whisper White and adhered it to the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around the strip of Flowers For Every Season dsp and secured on the back with Sellotape. The dsp was then glued to the card front with the same liquid glue.

The base layer of the rose was stamped on scrap Whisper White in So Saffron ink. I added the second more detailed layer to the rose using Mango Melody. The outline of the rose was added in Terracotta Tle ink. I used the Wild Rose dies to cut out the rose.

I stamped the outline leaves in Shaded Spruce ink onto scrap Just Jade card and cut them out using the Wild Rose Dies. The leaves were tucked in under the layer of dsp and the sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set was added in Shaded Spruce ink.

The flower was added to the card front on Dimensionals. I used the sweet corner image from the Ornate Style stamp set to decorate the upper left corner using Terracotta Tile ink.

I added a bow and to the card front and spritzed the card using my Clear Wink of Stella Pen. Love those sparkly speckles.

Falling Flowers

Here is a pretty, falling flowers card made using the Dressed To Impress stamp set and soft pastel colours.

To recreate the falling flowers card you will need:

Thick Whisper White – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Blushing Bride – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Scrap Whisper White & Basic Black

I ran the Blushing Bride panel through the Big Shot inside the gorgeous Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. I then cut the panel down on a diagonal – this will give 2 pieces for 2 separate cards. The embossed panel was added to the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the double and single flowers from the Dressed to Impress stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Whisper White card.

The flowers were cut out using the All Dressed Up dies. They were then coloured in using the following Blends Markers – Flirty Flamingo combo, So Saffron combo, Mint Macaron combo and light Gray Granite.

I stamped the small leafy sprig in Mint Macaron ink and added the flowers along the edge of the embossed piece, some using liquid glue and others on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic Black card in Versamark ink. This was covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool. I trimmed the sentiment out using scissors and added it to the card front with liquid glue.

I used the dark Mint Macaron Blends Marker to colour in a trio of Basic Pearls and added them to the card front to complete the card.

This is an ideal theme for a sweet seahorse themed card made using the Seaside Notions stamp set and a bit of water colouring. You may have hopped over from the lovely Fiona Whitehead and you are currently visiting Mo Rootes.

To recreate the Seaside Notions card you will need:

Terracotta Tile card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pacific Point – 4 ¼” by 2 ⅞”
Shimmery White card – 4” by 2⅝”
Whisper White – 5⅜ by 3⅝”
Scrap Shimmery White card stock

The gorgeous seahorse image from the Seaside Notions stamp set was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink onto scrap Shimmery White card and fussy cut using my sharp scissors.

I used the Aqua painter to colour in the Seahorse using Terracotta Tile ink, Mango Melody ink and Gorgeous Grape ink.

When the water coloured panel was dry I stamped the coral image in Pacific point ink and added some speckles using the same ink. The seahorse was mounted onto the panel with Dimensionals. The whole panel was glued to the Pacific Point layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the coral image along the bottom of the Terracotta Tile card front, the stamped layer was added to the card front with the same liquid glue.

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop blog hop where our theme this month is ‘Hello 2020 – 2021 Catalogue’. If you have hopped over from Libby’s blog welcome and I hope you enjoy my project. I am using the Summer Days stamp set to make my card, this is such a sweet image, so serene.

To recreate the Hello 2020 – 2021 catalogue card you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Balmy Blue – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Granny Apple Green – 4” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 3⅞” by 2⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White ¼” strip
Granny Apple Green ¼” strip

The sweet image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the smaller Whisper White panel.

I coloured the image using the following Blends Markers – Granny Apple Green combo, Soft Suede combo, Highland Heather combo, So Saffron combo, light Smoky Slate, dark Pool Party and Ivory. Isn’t it adorable?

The stamped image was glued to the Granny Apple green layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I embossed the Balmy Blue panel using the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and wrapped a length of Metallic Edged Ribbon around the panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. This was adhered it to the Balmy Blue card front with the liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Field of Flowers stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink onto the Whisper White strip and trimmed it out using scissors. I added the Granny Apple Green strip to the bottom and added it to the card front with liquid glue.

I added a bow to the side and some Woven Threads Sequins to decorate the front.

Swirly Circles

Today I am sharing a sweet swirly circles thank you card inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest made by fellow demonstrator Rachel Palmieri.

To recreate the Swirly Circles card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower left corner
Highland Heather – 5” by 3⅛” – rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 4⅞” by 3” – rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower left corner

I stamped the swirly circle from the Swirly Frames multiple times in the upper right corner of the small Whisper White panel. I used Gray Granite ink.

One of the tiny flowers from the Field of Flowers stamp set was randomly stamped inside the interlocking circles.

Using Stampin’ Blends I coloured in some of the overlapping sections. I used Light Flirty Flamingo, light Pool Party, light Highland Heather & light So Saffron. Don’t those colours look great together.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped in Pool Party ink. I glued the stamped panel to the Highland Heather panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the overlapping circles onto the Pool Party card front in the upper right corner. The stamped panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To recreate the positive stripes card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right and lower left corner
Highland Heather – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 3 ½” by 2 ½”
Pool Party – 5” by 1 “
So Saffron – 5” by 1 “
Flirty Flamingo – 5” by 1 “
Highland Heather – 5” by 1 “

I stamped the gorgeous fern from the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pool Party ink onto the larger Whisper White card panel.

Using the All Dressed Up dies I cut stitched edged stripes from the Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Pool Party card and glued them to the stamped panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Don’t they look fabulous.

The layer was then glued to the Highland Heather panel then added to the Thick Whisper White card base with liquid adhesive. I die cut a scalloped, stitched rectangle using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and stamped the same fern image in 2^nd generation Pool Party ink.

I stamped the flower in Highland Heather ink onto scrap Whisper White card stock and cut it out using the Nature’s Thoughts dies. This was added to the card front with the same liquid adhesive.

The 2 sweet butterflies were also die cut using the same dies from scrap So saffron and Flirty Flamingo card. They were added to the panel with liquid adhesive.

A Holiday Rhinestone was added to each butterfly to complete the card.

Here is a sweet summery card made using the Lovely You stamp set from the new annual catalogue. I love the sets with lots of small images and a good selection of sentiments don’t you?

To recreate the Lovely You card you will need:

Terracotta Tile card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Mint Macaron – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 4 ½” by 3” -– rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Mint Macaron – 2” by 2”
Whisper White – 2” by 2”

I began by stamping the filigree border image from the Very Versailles stamp set in Terracotta Tile ink across the middle of the smaller Whisper White panel.

The largest leafy image from the Lovely You stamp set was stamped in 2^nd generation Mint Macaron ink, the longer leafy image was added with Old Olive ink.

I inked up the larger flower with Crushed Curry ink and stamped it along side the leaves. The single flower was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink to fill up the white space. The stamped layer was added to the Mint Macaron panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sweet sentiment comes from the Lovely You stamp set and was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink onto the 2” square of Whisper White. This was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. I also cut out a scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Dies and glued the two circles together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the larger leafy image in Terracotta Tile ink in the upper left and lower right corner of the Terracotta Tile card base. The stamped layer was added on Dimensionals and the sentiment place on top with liquid glue.
