The Zany Zebra stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a sweet birthday card

Naughty Zebra

Today I am sharing a cute card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set and featuring a naughty Zebra. You just have to look at his face to know he is up to no good……

To recreate the naughty zebra card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Ornate Garden designer series paper – 5¾” by 4”
Whisper White – 5” by 3⅜”

Using a sponge I inked the lower right corner of the Whisper White panel with Bumblebee ink.

The zebra was stamped onto the inked area in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. As the naughty zebra was looking behind him I stamped a party hat in Just Jade ink which had fallen off his head. I coloured the dots in with the Just Jade marker.

A Christmas card made using two houses from the Coming Home stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Coming Home for Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop where our theme this month is the August to December Mini Catalogue. DSP strip 5 ½” by ½” – I chose the Most Wonderful Time dsp

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A lovely sunflower for Rae card made using the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set and Sunflower dies

I began by gluing the dsp panel to the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I then stamped the large sunflower in Gray Granite ink onto the square of Very Vanilla card.

Using a sponge dauber I added Gray Granite ink to the centre of the flower before colouring in the bloom using the following Blends Markers – Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Gray Granite. I used an empty Wink of Stella Pen to add some Las Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint to the petals of the flower and die it out using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Sunflower dies.

I used a sponge to add a circle of So Saffron ink to the Very Vanilla panel and having worked out where my die cut sunflower was going began to stamp the leaf images from the Lovely You stamp set. I used 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation Bumblebee ink, Gray Granite ink and Granny Apple Green ink.

I added gold dots using Las Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint and the dotty stamp from the In The Pines stamp set. I wrapped a length of the lovely lace ribbon around the layer before adding the inked panel to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
