Seasise Seashells embossing Folder by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty gold flecked card

Gold Flecked Seashells

I have been playing with the gorgeous Sand & Sea Suite today and Oh My Goodness it is stunning: I especially love the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder which gives the most amazing texture.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the seashells card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner – inside
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla & Balmy Blue

I used a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and a pea-sized blob of Frost White Shimmer Paint to spray the smaller So Saffron panel. I left it to one side to dry, so sparkly……

When the panel was dry, I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder.

I gently rubbed my Versamark ink pad over the top of embossed panel, covered the panel with Heat & Stick Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I covered the layer with Gold Gilding Flakes, rubbed off the excess and used one of the Blending Brushes to burnish. I wrapped some Lace Trim around it the panel and used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the embossed panel to the larger Very Vanilla panel. The whole piece was added to the Misty Moonlight card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped both types of fronds using Night of Navy or Balmy Blue ink and the starfish in Night of Navy ink, all on scrap Very Vanilla card. I stamped the small clam in Balmy Blue ink on scrap Balmy Blue card. I used my Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to draw some lines on the clam shell, let it dry until tacky then rubbed on some Gold Gilding Flakes.

Paper Circles for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me for the Crafty Collaboration Share It Sunday Blog Hop, we are sharing a project we have been working on and I couldn’t resist one last play with the gorgeous Paper Blooms designer Series Paper (dsp) before Sale-A-Bration ends tonight. This time I have gone a bit rogue and teamed the paper with the Circle Celebration stamp set to make a sweet paper circles card.

Colours used in today’s project are:

To recreate the Paper Circles card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Night of Navy – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Paper Blooms dsp – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 2½” by 1½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner

I mounted a number of the stamps from the Circle celebration stamp set onto acrylic blocks, inked them up and stamped them into the coloured circles on the piece of Paper Blooms dsp. I really liked the effect this gave.

A gorgeous 75th waterfall birthday card for my aunt made in bright summery colours using Stampin' Up! products

Special Waterfall Birthday Card for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where our theme is Fun Folds. So with that in mind, I absolutely have to share with you the waterfall birthday card I have made for my Aunts special birthday tomorrow. This card was made using bright spring colours and flowers which my aunt loves.

Colours Used in this project are:

To recreate the Waterfall birthday card, you will need:

Magenta Madness card base – 11¾” by 4⅛” – scored at 5⅞”
Magenta Madness – 8⅝” by 2¾” – Scored at 1¾”, 2½”, 3¼” & 4”
Magenta Madness – 4⅛” by 1”
Flowers For Every Season dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Flirty Flamingo – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Daffodil Delight – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Just Jade – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Misty Moonlight – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White – 2½” by 2½” x 3
Basic White – 3½” by 2½”
Basic White – 2½” by 1½”
Scrap Basic White & Magenta Madness

I began by gluing the Flowers For Every Season dsp to the Magenta Madness card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Adhere the small strip of Magenta Madness card about 2 ¼” up from the bottom of the card front. Use strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape or Snail Plus and this piece gets a lot of pulling about.

A gorgeous 75th waterfall birthday card for my aunt made in bright summery colours using Stampin' Up! products

www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty, colourful special Waterfall birthday card made using the All Things Fabulous stamp set by Stampin Up!

Next, I inserted the 4⅝” (longest side) end of the scored 8⅝” strip of Magenta Madness into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch; it is wider than the opening so is a bit of a fiddle. Push it right to the end then punch. Pull it out and trim off the extra piece on each side.

Fold on all the score lines, slip the punched scalloped end of the Magenta Madness under the strip of card you have just glued across the card. The scored part of the card will then be on top of the band. Using strong adhesive glue along the top of the scored panel – face down – adhere the piece to the bottom end of the band. This forms the waterfall mechanism.

www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty, colourful special Waterfall birthday card made using the All Things Fabulous stamp set by Stampin Up!

Using adhesive at the top of each of the coloured panels, adhere them to the small scored strips of the waterfall panel.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp some of the sentiments from the You Are Amazing, Approaching Perfection & Good Morning Magnolia stamp sets on to the small panels of Basic White card. Other sentiments were masked and inked up using Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Markers.

The sentiment panels were added to the Coloured panels using with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped a selection of flowers from the All Things Fabulous stamp set. For the larger flower I used 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation Magenta Madness. For the smaller flowers I used 2nd generation Daffodil Delight and Bumblebee, Magenta Madness in 1st and 2nd generation and Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. The leaves were stamped in Just Jade ink. These were all cut out using my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machune. The flowers and leaves were added to the sentiment panels with liquid glue.

I added a length of White Ribbon from my stash to the scalloped end to work the waterfall mechanism and tied it on with a piece of the Snail Mail Twine. I finished by adding some Gold Glitters Dot to each panel. I added a tiny Magenta Madness dragonfly punched out using the Dragonfly Punch to the front panel.

Playful Valentine card

Today I am sharing the card I made my husband for Valentine’s Day using the Playful Alphabet dies, Window Sheet and strips of card. This card was inspired by a Youtube video by fellow demonstrator Angie of Stamping With Amore.

Colours used in today’s project are:

To recreate the Playful Valentine card. You will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Window Sheet – 4⅛” by 2¼”
Misty Moonlight – 4⅛” by ⅜”
Panels of Misty Moonlight, So Saffron, Pacific Point, Old Olive & Balmy Blue 2½” wide
Scrap Basic White

Taking the 2½” wide strips of card stock I cut them down into thin strips, wider at one end than the other.

I am so glad the White Bakers Twine is back in the catalogue and I added some to each card, again for a little texture.

A gorgeous new baby waterfall fun fold card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Baby Waterfall card

Here is a sweet waterfall baby card made using the gorgeous Baby Pull Toys stamps set and inspired by a card I saw on Youtube made by  US demonstrator  Cindy Brumbaugh – I have altered the sizes to fit A4 card.

Colours Used in this project are:

To recreate the Baby Waterfall card you will need:

Pacific Point card base – 11¾” by 4⅛” – scored at 5⅞”
Pacific Point – 8⅝” by 2¾” – Scored at 1¾”, 2½”, 3¼” & 4”
Pacific Point – 4⅛” by 1”
Berry Delightful dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Poppy Parade – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Daffodil Delight – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Just Jade – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Night of Navy – 2⅝” by 1⅝”
Bermuda Bay – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White – 2½” by 2½” x 3
Basic White – 3½” by 2½”
Basic White – 2½” by 1½”

I began by gluing the Berry Delightful dsp to the Pacific Point card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Adhere the small strip of Pacific Point card about 2 ¼” up from the bottom of the card front. Use strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape or Snail Plus and this piece gets a lot of pulling about.

Next, I inserted the 4⅝” (longest side) end of the scored 8⅝” strip of Pacific Point into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch; it is wider than the opening so is a bit of a fiddle. Push it right to the end then punch. Pull it out and trim off the extra piece on each side.

Fold on all the score lines, slip the punched scalloped end of the Pacific Point under the strip of card you have just glued across the card. The scored part of the card will then be on top of the band. Using strong adhesive glue along the top of the scored panel – face down – adhere the piece to the bottom end of the band. This forms the waterfall mechanism.

Using adhesive at the top of each of the coloured panels, adhere them to the small scored strips of the waterfall panel.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the 3 images from the Baby Pull Toys stamp set on to the squares of Basic White card. I stamped sentiments from the same stamp set onto the smallest and largest Basic White panels and adhered these directly, with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, to the Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay panels.

I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the sweet little toy images – Gray Granite, Poppy Parade, Just Jade, Daffodil Delight, Cinnamon Cider and Mango Melody. I added a trio of hearts from the same stamp set on the largest Basic White piece and coloured these in using some of the same Blends Markers.

These stamped panels were then stuck onto the coloured panels using liquid glue. I added a length of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the scalloped end to work the waterfall mechanism and a 2020-2022 In Colour Dot to the end of each toy to complete the card.

I absolutely love it. So adorable.
