Welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where we are sharing masculine themed cards in a ‘Let’s Hear It For The Boys’ Blog Hop. I have used the On The Ocean stamp set and Dies to make my card.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the on the ocean pirate ship card, you will need:
Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 1½” & 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Masterfully Made dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 1¼”
Masterfully Made dsp – 5½” by 1⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3”
Scrap Basic Black and Basic White card
I folded and burnished the card base, folding inwards on the 4⅛” score line and backwards on the 1½” score line.
The 5½” by 3¾” panel of Masterfully Made dsp was glued to the larger piece of Basic White card and then to the back panel of the Pretty Peacock card base. The thin strip of dsp was then added to the 1 ¼” strip of Basic White card and then to the front of card base. The scored flap was then folded back and adhered in place.
The ‘wave’ image was stamped along the bottom of the 5⅝” by 2⅜” piece of Basic White card. This was then glued to the inside of the Pretty Peacock card base.
Using the Deckled Rectangle Dies, I cut a rectangle from the 4½” by 3” piece of Basic White card. The ‘wave’ image was then stamped along the bottom.
I die cut the pieces for the pirate ship was from scrap Basic Black card, adhered the body of the ship and the back piece with the mast to the deckled rectangle. I used a Blending Brush to lightly add some Pretty Peacock ink to the ‘sky’.
The sails were curved with a Bone Folder and added to the card front on Black Dimensionals. The skull & crossbones were then glued in place to complete the card.
Please on on the share the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.
