As a mark of respect for the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II the theme of our latest team challenge is ‘Sympathy/Thinking of You. I have used the Botanical Layers stamp set to make a botanical thinking of you card.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the botanical thinking of you card, you will need:
Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Basic White strip – ⅜” wide
Using a Blending Brush I added a little Pool Party ink to the small panel of Basic White card, to the right of centre and towards the bottom.
The inked panel was then placed, face down, onto my Scoring Tool and scored using a stylus and ¼” and ⅜” on all 4 sides to create the effect of a framed border.
The inked and scored panel was then turned face up and using Pool Party ink, I stamped the large leaf spray to the right of the inked area. The reed like image was then added in Starry Sky ink.
The stamped panel was then added to the Starry Sky layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Pool Party card base using Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Art Gallery stamp set in Starry Sky ink onto the strip of Basic White card. I didn’t want to word I’m so masked it off with Washi Tape prior to inking the stamp. I trimmed down the strip and flagged one end before adding it to the card front with the liquid glue.
I am really happy with the result. I hope you like it.
