Today I am sharing a card made using the Abstract Impressions stamp set for the Global Design Project #170 sketch challenge.
Making the card
I started by cutting a small panel of Whisper White cardstock at 3¾” by 2¾”. I stamped the broader leaf cluster in 2nd generation Granny Apple Green ink – inked up, stamped onto scrap paper then stamped on the Whisper White cardstock piece. I then stamped the narrower leaf cluster in full strength Granny Apple Green ink. The base flowers were stamped in 2ng generation Grapefruit Grove ink and the highlights stamped over the top in full strength Grapefruit Grove ink. The stamped panel was then added to a Granny Apple Green panel measuring 3⅞” by 2⅞”, having rounded the upper left corner of both panels using the Detailed Trio Punch.
I stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4” by ½” and used my scissors to cut both ends into a banner shape. Using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch I punch a scalloped edge from a piece of Wood Textures dsp and added it to the back of the sentiment using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. This piece was then added to the stamped panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I took a Grapefruit Grove card base and stamped the base flower in the upper right and lower left corners before adding the stamped panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I love this colour combo and hope you like the card.
