Today I am sharing a quirky umbrella butterfly card made using the Under My Umbrella stamp set and the Umbrella Builder Punch. This card was inspired by a card I saw on YouTube by Gail O’Neill
To recreate the Umbrella Butterfly card you will need:
Poppy Parade – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner x 2
Tropical Oasis dsp 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Whisper White & Basic Black
I adhered the Tropical Oasis dsp to one of the Whisper White panels using Multipurpose liquid Adhesive. The panel was then adhered using the same glue to the Poppy Parade card base.
I stamped the open umbrella image twice onto scrap Whisper White card stock and punched the images out using the co-ordinating Umbrella Builder Punch.
The Umbrellas were then coloured in using the Poppy Parade combo Blends Markers and glued together using the same liquid glue to form the wings of the butterfly.
I punched out an ornament using the Small Ornament Punch and some scrap Basic Black card. The centre of the ornament was trimmed out using scissors and added over the butterfly forming the body. The butterfly was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment from the Little Ladybug stamp set was stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto scrap Whisper White and trimmed out and flagged with Scissors before being added to the card front.
I added some of the Poppy sequins to complete the Umbrella Butterfly card.
