Floral Wreath for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a sketch and the current In Colors. I have used the gorgeous So Refreshing stamp set and dies to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the floral wreath card, you will need:

Basic White card – 2” by ¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using the infill floral image, I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Sweet Sorbet card base with Sweet Sorbet ink.

The 4⅞” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card was embossed using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder. I cut it from corner to corner using my Paper Trimmer and glued it to the Parakeet Party layer. The whole panel was glued to the Sweet Sorbet card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The long stem of the spray was cut off and the flowers were then arranged on the card front in a rough circle. I then glued each spray to the next with a dab of liquid glue and to the card front on Dimensionals. The extra leaves were then tucked in around the wreath to add more texture.

Pretty Birds All In A Row – for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are working with 5 set colours. I have chosen to use the Pretty Birds stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate to row of pretty birds card, you will need:

Daffodil Delight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic Black card – 4½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 2¾”
Scrap Basic Black card
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I randomly stamped the outline row of birds image all over the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White using Daffodil Delight ink. The stamped panel was then glued, using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, to the larger Basic Black layer.

A length of Black and White Gingham Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape, The whole piece was then added to the Daffodil Delight card base using the same liquid adhesive.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the same outline birds image onto the 3¾” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card. This was then die-cut using the Layering Diorama Dies. Whilst I had the dies out I also die cut a larger diorama panel from the 4½” by 3½” piece of Basic Black card. The black diorama piece was then slipped under the ribbon on the card front and glued in place.

I used Stampin ’n Write Markers to ink up the solid, in-fill images of the birds in an ink to stamp technique. I inked and stamped each colour individually starting with Pacific Point. I moved onto Mango Melody, Tahitian Tide, Daffodil Delight and finished off with Garden Green. The finished piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

A scattering of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins and a Gingham bow completed the card.
