I used a stamp positioner to stamp the tree image. I coloured the tree trunk using a Pecan Pie Stamp ‘n Write Marker and stamped it onto the 3⅞” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card.

The tree canopy was inked up with a Granny Apple Green Stamp ‘n Write Marker and added patches of the darker Garden Green before stamping it onto the same Basic White panel. I added grass using a stamp from the Pick A Season stamp set and Granny Apple Green and Garden Green ink. I dotted flowers in the grass with a Daffodil Delight Stamp ‘n Write Marker.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Boho Blue ink around the top and sides of the panel before adhering the panel to the Garden Green layer. I added the two panels of Daffodil Delight behind the decorated panel, one in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right corner. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Embossed Spring Corner card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday where we are showcasing projects made using Embossing Paste. I have chosen to make my card using the pretty Spring Corners stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card:

To recreate embossed Spring corners card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Granny Apple Green card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” x 2
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using the Spring Corners Dies, I die cut the detailed floral image in 2 corners, one at the top and one at the bottom of one of the 5” by 3¼” panels of Basic White card. I laid the die cut panel over the second panel of the same size, taping then together to stop them moving around.

Using Washi tape I covered all the leaves on the die cut image leaving the flowers and flower centres exposed.

I scooped a little Embossing Paste onto my Silicon Mat using one of my Palette Knives. I added a small drop of Melon Mambo re-inker to the paste and mixed it thoroughly with the palette knife. I carefully smeared the coloured embossing paste onto the flower petals taking care to avoid the flower centres. I set the piece aside to allow the Embossing Paste to dry.

When the pink paste had dried, I added another scoop of paste to the Silicon Mat and mixed in a little Lemon lolly re-inker. This was then carefully smeared over the flower centres before setting it aside to dry.

Once the flowers were completely dry – about 30mins later I peeled up the top layer. I flipped the panel around and re-positioned the clean negative die cut flower over the embossed flowers. I mixed a little Granny Apple Green re-inker to a little Embossing Paste and smeared it over the leaves and set this aside to dry before removing the top panel.

The sentiment was added with Melon Mambo ink and the whole piece was then glued to the Granny Apple Green panel. I added it to the Melon mambo card front on Dimensionals.
