Pick a Season Card

Today I made a card using the Pick a Season stamp set. This pretty set is one of the choices free with a qualifying £55 order.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the pick a season card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Bloom Impressions dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Melon Mambo card – 5⅞” by ⅜” x 2
Granny Apple Green card – 4” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2¾”

 

The strips of Melon Mambo card were glued on either side of the panel of Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper (dsp). The strip was then adhered to the Thick Basic White card front.

I stamped the tree trunk in Pecan Pie ink onto the small panel of Basic White card. I found it easier to stamp the tree canopy if the trunk was already in place. The tree canopy was then added in Granny Apple Green ink.

The trio of tiny flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo ink in the gaps in the tree canopy.

Grass was stamped along the bottom in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Granny Apple Green ink and the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set was added below using the same ink. The decorated piece was then glued to the Granny Apple Green panel. This was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Heart card – Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where our theme is ‘hearts, hearts, hearts. I have used the Heart Shaped stamp set, a free Sale-a-Bration choice available with a qualifying order until the end of February 2025.

To recreate the heart card, you will need:

Blackberry Bliss card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Melon Mambo card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using a Blending Brush I added Melon Mambo ink to the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card.

The trio of small flowers were stamped in Berry Burst onto scrap Basic White card and fussy cut them using sharp Scissors.

The group of flowers were placed onto the bottom of the wreath for positioning and the tiny pair of leaves were then added using Mossy Meadow ink. The flowers were then added on Dimensionals.

Corner In Bloom card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are using Stampin’ Write Markers to make our project. I have used a pretty new stamp set called Corner In Bloom to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the corner in bloom card, you will need:

Pretty in Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Gray card – 4” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 3½”– Rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

The 5½” by 3¾” layer of Basic White card was embossed using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder before being glued to the larger Basic Gray panel. I wrapped a piece of Fresh Freesia Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel before gluing it to the Pretty in Pink card base.

The floral corner image was stamped twice onto the 3⅞” by 3½” piece of Basic White card using Basic Gray ink. The sentiment from the Birthday Celebrations stamp set was stamped in Pebbled Path ink.

A pretty birthday card made using the Friendly Seagulls stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

CASE’d Friendly Seagull card

Today, I have chosen to CASE a card made by the lovely Karen Titus using the new Friendly Seagulls stamp set which is one of the free choices which will be available from the 7th January 2025 with a qualifying order. I have taken Karen’s card and added my own spin. I hope you like it.

 

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the CASE’d friendly seagull card, you will need:

Lemon Lolly card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Country Woods dsp – 2” by ⅝”
Country Woods dsp – 1⅞” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using large PostIt Notes, I masked the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card, ½” down the left side and ½” from the bottom.

I added Melon Mambo ink to the lower left corner of the masked area using a Blending Brush. Next, I added Lemon Lolly ink around the Melon Mambo giving a lovely peachy colour where the colours met.

The PostIt Notes were then removed, and the panel was glued to the Pebbled Path layer and then to the Lemon Lolly card front.

The Small piece of Country Woods dsp was adhered to the right side of the larger piece of dsp. This piece was then added to the inked panel on Dimensionals.

The seagull was stamped on scrap Basic White card with Pebbled Path ink and fussy cut out using sharp Scissors. I added colour using the dark Lemon Lolly and the light and dark Smoky Slate Blends Pens. The seagull was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Trio of Seagulls

Today I have made a card for a friend using a stamp set which will be available from the 7th January 2025 as a free Sale-a-Bration choice with a £55 order.

To recreate the trio of seagull’s card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 3
Beautiful Bokeh dsp- 5¼” by 3½”
Pebbled Path card 2⅜” by 1⅝” x 3
Basic White card – 2⅜” by 1⅝” x 3

 

The piece of Beautiful Bokeh dsp was adhered to the large panel of Pebbled Path card.

A length of White Diagonal Striped Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and a length of Balmy Blue Twine added over top. Both were secured on the back of the layer with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Thick Basic White card front using Mini Glue Dots to accommodate the bulk of the ribbon.

I used the Perennial postage Dies to die cut 3 rectangles from the 3 small pieces of Basic White card.

The three seagulls were stamped, one on each die cut rectangle using Pebbled Path ink. The following Blends Pens were used to add colour to the images – light Balmy Blue, light and dark Daffodil Delight and light Pebbled Path.

A pretty,floral fun fold card made using the new Pretty Petals stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Pretty Petals Fun Fold card

I have been playing with the new Pretty Petals stamp set and Dies which will be available from the 7th January from my online store. I have used it to make a pretty floral birthday card.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the pretty petals fun fold card, you will need:

Mossy Meadow card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 4” by 1⅞”
Berry Burst card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using my paper trimmer, I cut across the card front to the scoreline 2” from the bottom. I then cut down the central scoreline leaving the 2” flap at the bottom.

The panel of Fresh Freesia card was embossed using the Perfectly Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and glued to the front flap of the Mossy Meadow card base.

Using the retiring Deckled Rectangle I die cut a rectangle from the 4¼” by 3” piece of Basic White card and a slightly larger deckled rectangle from the panel of Berry Burst card.

The leafy spray was stamped on the Basic White rectangle using Mossy Meadow ink and the 2 rectangles were then adhered together. The rectangular panel was then added to the bottom flap of the card front.

I inked the group of flowers with Fresh Freesia ink and added Berry Burst ink to the base of the petals using a Sponge Dauber. The flowers were then stamped scrap Basic White card. These were then die cut using the Pretty Petals Dies. The flowers were the added to the card front with liquid glue or Mini Dimensionals.
