Pretty Petals Classes

The cards I am sharing today were designed for my January classes using the gorgeous Pretty Petals stamp set.

Colours used in these cards are:

Column Card

Berry Burst card – 8¼” by 5¾” – scored on the long side at 2”, 4”, 6” & 8”
Fresh Freesia – 5½” by 1¾” x 4
Basic White – 4½” by 3” – die cut a label using the Countryside Corner Dies for the front
Basic White – 4” by 2¼” – die cut a label using the Countryside Corner Dies for the back
Basic White – 3½” by 3” – for stamping and die cutting
Basic White – 1” by ½” – scored at ½” on the long side x 6 – 4 for the front & 2 for the back

Place the 4 strips of Fresh Freesia card side by side and butted up against each other. Hold down with a little temporary adhesive if needed.  Use Fresh Freesia ink to stamp the floral image across all 4 pieces overlapping the panels. Keep the panels in order so that the design flows. Adhere the stamped layers to the 2” panels of the Berry Burst card, leaving a border.

Stamp the sentiment, from the Heart Shaped stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink at the bottom of the larger die cut label. Add the leafy spray above using the same ink. Fold 4 of the 1” by ½” pieces of Basic White card. Glue 2 of these tabs on either side of the centre scoreline with the fold facing the scoreline. Add 2 more opposite the 2 already in position on the other side of the scoreline. Add glue to the top flaps of these tabs and place the stamped label on top. Hold in place until the glue has bonded.

Pretty Petals Fun Fold card

I have been playing with the new Pretty Petals stamp set and Dies which will be available from the 7th January from my online store. I have used it to make a pretty floral birthday card.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the pretty petals fun fold card, you will need:

Mossy Meadow card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 4” by 1⅞”
Berry Burst card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using my paper trimmer, I cut across the card front to the scoreline 2” from the bottom. I then cut down the central scoreline leaving the 2” flap at the bottom.
