Here is a clean and simple card negative fern card using the negative space from a die cut.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the negative fern card, you will need:
Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Evening Evergreen card – 5¾” by 4”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Scrap Evening Evergreen
The fern from the Meadow dies was die cut from the large panel of Basic White card using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Using a Blending Brush I added soft Succulent ink to the smaller Basic White card panel. I concentrated the colour in the centre of the piece and left darker and lighter areas.
The die cut panel was added over the top of the inked panel on Dimensionals to give some shadow.
The panel was then added to the Evening Evergreen layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and to the Soft Succulent card base using the same glue.
I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set in Versamark ink onto scrap Evening Evergreen card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and flagged the end before adding it to the card front.
A White Baker’s Twine bow was added along with a trio of 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
I love it, such a pretty card.
