Today I am sharing the birthday card made for my lovely son. He loves the sea so the Lighthouse from the High Tide stamp set was perfect for his card.
Making the High Tide card
I began by taking a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4⅛ by 2” and stamping the ‘ground’ image in 1st and 2nd generation Sahara Sand ink. I then placed the piece of cardstock in my Stamparatus as I find the lighthouse images much easier to line up using this stamping tool. The lighthouse was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Real Red ink.
The tufts of grass were then added in Mossy Meadow ink and the birds in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The stamped panel was added to a layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock measuring 4⅛” by 2⅛”.
Next I stamped the ‘water’ image from the High Tide stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink onto a Balmy Blue card base. I added more birds using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the boats from the Lilypad Lake stamp set onto scrap Whisper White cardstock and die cut them using the Lakeside framelit dies and the Big Shot. The boats were then coloured using Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Real Red and Crumb Cake markers.
The Lighthouse panel was added to the Balmy Blue card front on Stampin’ Dimensionals and the boats were then added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The ‘water’ image was then stamped on a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and a trio of boats were added. This panel was then glued inside the card with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The same images were stamped on the front of a Whisper White envelope.
I really, really like this card and I hope my son like sit as well.
