Let Your Colours Shine for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where out theme is ‘Let Your Colours Shine’ – great topic. After a lot of thought I decided to take it back to basics and find an image I like to act as inspiration for a colour combo. I found a picture of a beautiful bridesmaid’s bouquet that I really liked, the colours are so soft and delicate.

The Ink & Inspirations blog hop theme this month is Let Your Colour Sparkle and I have used the Garden Birdhouses stamp set to make a card

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Colours Shine card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Misty Moonlight card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Misty Moonlight card – ⅜” strip
Scrap Petal Pink card

The large circle from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set was stamped in Balmy Blue ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

The branch from the Garden Birdhouse stamp set was added at the top with Mint Macaron ink. I stamped the hanger from the tree in Balmy Blue ink and added the sweet birdhouse in Misty Moonlight ink.

I used the Misty Moonlight Marker from the 2021-2023 In Color Markers pack to colour in parts of the birdhouse. Doesn’t it look sweet.

Using Versamark ink I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set onto the Misty Moonlight strip, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool. I flagged the end with scissors.

Using the Peach Dies and the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine I cut some tiny flowers from the scrap Petal Pink card and added them to the tree with Mini Glue Dots.

I glued the stamped panel to the Misty Moonlight layer and then to the Petal Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The sentiment was then added using the same glue.

Blended Hand-penned Birthday card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

It is time again for our monthly Ink & Inspirations blog hop and our theme this month is ‘Sweet Suite’. So many lovely suites to chose from…….…. such a hard decision. Eventually I settled on the Hand-penned Suite and made a simple blended hand-penned birthday card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Blended Hand-Penned birthday card, you will need:

Mint Macaron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Highland Heather – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – Rounded upper left corner
Hand-Penned dsp – 4 ½” by 2”
Scrap Basic White

I used Highland Heather ink to stamp the sentiment onto one of the panels of Basic White card.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I added the stamped piece to the Highland Heather layer and using the same glue mounted the panel to the Mint Macaron card base.

I accidently used a retired tag topper punch to shape the top of the gorgeous piece of Hand-penned dsp – a senior moment I fear …….. you could use either the Fancy Tag Topper Punch or the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.

I added a piece of the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon to the top of the tag and added it, at an angle to the card front.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the lovely floral spray onto scrap Basic White card and coloured it in using the Mint Macaron, Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo Blends Markers.

The coloured piece was added on Dimensionals to the card front. To finish the card, I added a trio of Genial Gems.

Such a pretty card, I hope you like it. Please hop on to see what my fellow demonstrators have to share with us today.
