Birdhouse Window Sheet card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing Window Sheet cards. These are such fun to make but it can be tricky to get a clean look without seeing things you want hidden. After a lot of thought I chose the Country Birdhouse Dies to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the birdhouse window sheet card, you will need:

Window Sheet – 11½” by 4⅛” – scored at 5¾”
Scrap Country Woods dsp, Basic Beige, Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green & Early Espresso

Onto two Pieces of Country Woods dsp, I stamped the large birdhouse from the Country Birdhouse stamp set and trimmed them out with scissors. I then ran them both through the die cutting machine to cut the hole for the bird.

From scrap Basic Beige and Early Espresso card I die 2 of the roof parts for each birdhouse. The main roof piece of the birdhouses, the bottom pieces, the perches and the two stands were die cut from the scrap Country Woods Paper. These were then glued to each of the birdhouses.

I began by adding the stand to the card front with Mini Glue Dots. The birdhouse was added on top with Mini Glue Dots. I stuck down the curly bits of the stands with a tiny bit of liquid glue.

The second birdhouse and stand were then added to the back of the panel, making sure to line everything up so it couldn’t be seen from the front.

I die cut 2 more birdhouses from Basic Beige card. I stamped a sentiment on one and adhered it to the inside of the card making sure to line it up with the birdhouses on the front panel so it wouldn’t be seen. The second birdhouse was adhered to the back of the card to hide the back of the sentiment piece and to provide additional space for writing a message.

A selection of flowers and leaves were die cut from scrap Calypso Coral, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green card and they were used to decorate the birdhouses.

Such a fun card but a nightmare to photograph!
