Grace’s Garden for the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me for the February Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop. If you have joined me from Laura Mackie I am sure you were inspired by her project. Our theme today is ‘Colouring’ and I have chosen to use the stunning Grace’s Garden stamp set.

To recreate the Grace’s Garden card you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Flirty Flamingo – 5” by 3¼” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Whisper White – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded Upper Left corner – for the inside
Scrap Whisper White

I began by stamping the gate onto the Whisper White panel using Crumb Cake ink. I used the same ink to stamp the hollyhocks and the other little flowers on either side of the gate.

Taking a length of Linen Thread I wrapped it round the panel and tied it in a bow.

I stamped the hollyhock image along the bottom of the Crumb Cake card base in Crumb Cake ink and added the stamped panel to the card base on Dimensionals.

First Frost stamp set used to make a pretty floral card

First Frost card inspired by my bathroom!

I was soaking in the bath the other day, as you do when I looked up and noticed how well the new box of tissues went with the colour of the cupboard doors and I thought I must try out that colour combo ……..we have to take our inspiration when it comes. Here is the card I came up with using the First Frost stamp set.

To recreate my bathroom inspired card you will need:

Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Calypso Coral – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2– rounded upper left corner
Scrap Whisper White

I inked up the ‘sprig’ image using the Gray Granite and Merry Merlot Stamp and Write Markers and stamped on one of the Whisper White panels. I repeated this twice more. This panel was then added to the Calypso Coral panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. This piece was then added to the Merry Merlot card base on Dimensionals.

I die cut the beautiful label from the Detailed Bands die set first from the Basic Black strip then from the Whisper White strip. I adhered the Black detailed die to the front of the card using the Liquid Adhesive then carefully paper pieced in the infill White pieces.

I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink into the White label and added it in the centre.

The small bee from the Honey Bee stamp set was stamped on scrap Whisper White in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut using the Detailed Bee dies and added to the card on a Dimensional.

The stripes in the bee were coloured using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker and Clear Wink of Stella added to its wings. To complete the card I added some Peaceful Poppies Sequins to the larger flower centres.

Such a pretty card, I hope you like it.
