Flowers And Friendship card for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

May be an image of outerwear and text that says "STAMPING inkspirations BLOG HOP GROUP"

Here is a pretty thank you card made using the new Flowers of Friendship stamp set which is available in the new Annual Catalogue which launched earlier this week. This was made for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where our theme is ‘All Things Floral’.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the friendship thank you card, you will need:

Daffodil Delight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Granny Apple Green & Basic White

I mounted both of the small leaves onto the same acrylic and randomly stamped them around the edge of the Daffodil Delight card front in Daffodil Delight ink.

The spray of flowers was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the wider panel of Basic White card. I cleaned the stamp and used a Post It Note to mask off the stem, flower and leaf to the right of the centre stem, inked up with the Early Espresso ink, removed the Post It Note and stamped to the left of the original image.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap strip of Basic White card.  I used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch to punch the sentiment out and punch a slightly larger label for a strip of Granny Apple Green.

The labels were glued together and a piece of White Bakers Twine was wrapped around and tied in a small bow. The label was added to the card on Dimensionals. I added a scattering of Artistry Bloom Sequins to complete the card.

I hope you like the card.

Simply Hand-penned for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hog

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where the theme is ‘simple stamping’. If you have hooped on from the lovely Gez Carpenter I am sure you loved her project. I usually find simple stamping a bit of a challenge, can’t resist using lots of layers and bling. I made s simply hand-penned card using the lovely new Hand-penned Petals stamp set and it was so easy to create a sweet but simple card with this set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the simply hand-penned card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2

I stamped the sweet image in Evening Evergreen ink onto one of the smaller Basic White panels.

Using the in-fill stamps I coloured the large flower with Polished Pink ink, the smaller flower with Pale Papaya ink and the leaves in Soft Succulent ink. I love these new colours.

Color & Contour stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pair of cards using a modified one sheet wonder

Modified One Sheet Wonder

Today I am sharing 2 sweet floral cards made using a modified one sheet wonder (I only used ½ a sheet of card stock) and the new Color & Contour stamp set. This set is so versatile and so easy to use. I also used the gorgeous new 2021 – 2023 in colors.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the modified one sheet wonder cards, you will need:

Basic White card 7¾” by 5½”
Scrap Basic White for the sentiments

Polished Pink card base
Soft Succulent 5⅝ by 4”
Basic White 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

Evening Evergreen card base
Polished Pink 5⅝” by 4”
Basic White 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

I began by stamping the outline large flower in clusters of 3 down the centre of the large panel of Basic White. I used Evening Evergreen ink and 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping.  The flowers were in-filled using the solid stamp and Polished Pink ink, again using 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping.

The outline spray of flowers was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink, I chose not to ink up the full stem of this image. The infill colour for this image was stamped in 1st generation Pale Papaya ink

Using Soft Succulent ink, I filled in some of the gaps using the outline leaf image using 1st and 2nd generation stamping.

Next, I added an outline bud in 1st and 2nd generation Soft Succulent ink and added the Fresh Freesia ink as the fill in using 1st generation only.

The speckles were added in 2nd and 3rd generation Soft Succulent ink. When all this was done, I cut the panel in half on the long side at 3¾”. I wrapped a length of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon around one of the panels.

www.crafty-rootes.com -This is a pretty pair of cards made with the Color & Contour stamp set and the modified one sheet wonder technique

Using the Penned Flower dies and my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine I die cut a scalloped border down the right side of the Soft Succulent and Polished Pink panels. The stamped panels were then added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I trimmed the Polished Pink piece on the left-hand side as I had managed not to cut the panel straight. They were then added to the Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink card bases on Dimensionals. I added a small piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon to the Evening Evergreen card.

The sentiments came from the Many Messages stamp set, stamped using a Stamparatus on a panel of Basic White card and die cut using the Messages Dies. I keep the spares in a box for when I need a small sentiment, like today. They were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The chosen sentiments were added on Dimensionals to the card front.

Garden Wishes for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

Colour Combo Blog Hop April 2021

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from ….’s blog I bet you loved her project. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK.

The colours for this month’s challenge are:

To recreate the Garden Wishes card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Cherry Cobbler – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 4¾” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler

To begin I stamped the dandelion image from the Garden Wishes stamp set in Old Olive ink and used Old Olive and So Saffron Blends Markers to colour the image in.

A pretty dandelion themed card made using the Garden Wishes stamp set for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.com – Garden Wishes stamp set by Stampin’ Up!used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

I decided the image needed something more and added a group of small flowers from the Grace’s Garden stamp set in Old Olive ink and coloured them in using the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blends.

A pretty dandelion themed card made using the Garden Wishes stamp set for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.com – Garden Wishes stamp set by Stampin’ Up!used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

The stamped layer was added to the Cherry Cobbler layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added a strip of Lace Trim to the side of the panel using Tear & Tape before adhering it to the Old Olive card front.

The sentiment from the Garden Wishes stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Very Vanilla, trimmed out with sharp scissors. I mounted it on a scrap of Old Olive. It looked a little plain so I die cut the sweet edge strip from the Be Mine dies from a scrap of Cherry Cobbler card and cut it to fit.

A stricking flowers on black thank you card made using the flower & field dsp by Stampin' Up!

Flowers on Black for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects we have been working on. If you saw my blog post on the 31st January you will be aware that I have been enjoying playing with the fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the sheets of Flower & Field dsp. I am using the flowers again today to make a thank you card.

If you have hopped over from Annette’s blog, welcome.

To recreate the Flowers & Field card, you will need:

Basic Black – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black – 5½”” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5½”” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Basic Black – 3½” by 2½”

I started by running the Basic Black panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. This was glued to the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using Versamark ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set onto the small piece of Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. This was then die cut using the Stitched Shapes dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I added the die cut sentiment to the card front on Dimensionals.

Then, I arranged all the flowers and leaves – fussy cut from the gorgeous Flowers & Field dsp – around the sentiment using either liquid glue and/or Dimensionals.

The flowers were then added to the Pool Party panel using either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and/or Dimensionals. The sentiment was tucked in under the flowers. I added the decorated layer to the Pool Party card base using Dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added some of the pretty Pastel Pearls to the centre of the larger flowers and a splattering of Clear Wink of Stella.

I hope you like it.
