The Calming Camellia stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to made a softly, pretty floral card

Calming Camellia

Today, I have been playing with the gorgeous Calming Camellia stamp set which is free with a £275 order. I love these textured floral stamps as you can get fantastic results with minimal supplies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the calming camellia card, you will need:

Early Espresso card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Calypso Coral card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 3” by 2½”
Early Espresso card – 3” by 2½”

I inked up the large floral stamp with Petal Pink ink, added Calypso Coral ink around the edge and in the centre and stamped it onto one of the larger Basic White layers. I repeated these steps until the whole panel was covered by the image.

Hello card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop featuring the Friendly Hello Sale-a-Bration stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Hello from the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing sneak peeks of Sale-a-Bration items which will be available from the 4th January 2022 with a qualifying order. I am using the gorgeous Friendly Hello stamp set paired with the Simply Marbleous dsp.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the hello card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Simply Marbleous dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Basic White card – 2¼” by ¾”

I glued the Simply Marbleous dsp to the largest panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was then added to the Flirty Flamingo card base using the same glue.

A scalloped rectangle was die cut from the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Scalloped Contour Dies. I used Post It Notes Ito mask off the stitched lines of the scalloped rectangle ready to stamp my image.

I inked up the double flower image with Basic Gray ink and randomly stamped flowers all over the scalloped rectangle. Berry sprigs were added using the same ink.

The flowers were coloured using the light & dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Alcohol Markers and the centres were coloured with the light Smoky Slate Blends Alcohol Marker. After the images were stamped, I removed the masks and added the panel to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Friendly Hello stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the strip of Basic White card. I masked off the word friend before inking the image.

Using Tear n Tape I added a strip of Flirty Flamingo ribbon to the bottom of the sentiment before adding it to the card front. A trio of Classic Matte Dots completes the card.
