Birthday Piggy for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inpirations Blog Hop where we have a picture/colour challenge. I have opted to use the colours we have been given in combination with the Birthday Piggy Stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the birthday piggy card, you will need:

Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Favored Flowers dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Flirty Flamingo card – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 3½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

The panel of Favored Flowers designer series paper (dsp) was glued to the Merry Merlot card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. A strip of Tear and Tape was adhered to the centre of the dsp and a loop of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon attached.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Pens to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Suede and Evening Evergreen. As we don’t have a Merry Merlot Blends Pen I used the Stamp ‘n Write Marker.

A pretty good luck card made using the stunning Watercolor World background stamp by Stampin' Up!

Watercolor World Good Luck card

I have been playing today with the gorgeous Watercolor World stamp set, which will be available from the 5th January 2023, and a simple colour palette.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the watercolor world card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Favored Flowers dsp – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Scrap Basic White & Pool Party card

This is a large background style stamp and I find these much easier to work with if I mount them on a Stamparatus plate.

This step was repeated to get a darker image. I love the dark and light areas of the stamped image.
