Roses For a wedding Card – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing a project we have recently been working on. I have chosen to share the card I made celebrate the wedding of friends using their colour scheme of peach and navy. I used the Layers of Beauty bundle to create the card.

Country Lace dsp – 5” by 5” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 4¾” by 4¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 5” by 5” – for the inside
Night of Navy card – 5⅛” by 2 ½”
Basic White card – 5 by 2⅜”
Country Lace dsp – 4⅞” by 2 ¼”

The large floral image was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Pebbled Path ink. I used the stencils and Blending Brushes to add colour to the image. The large roses were coloured with Balmy Blue, the Balmy Blue and finally Misty Moonlight. The smaller flowers with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive. The image was then die cut using the Layers of Beauty Dies.

To create a pocket to hold money/gift card the remaining Basic White panel was adhered to the inside of the card, the strip of Night of Navy card was then added along the bottom and butted up to the left-hand side using Tear ‘n Tape. Make sure the edge is well away from the central scoreline of the card. The dsp layer was then glued to the remaining Basic White piece which was then added to the card.
