Hello and welcome to the Fitting Florets Blog Hop where we are using the new Fitting Florets collection to make a card. I decided to make my card using only the Framed Florets stamp set to make my project.
To recreate the birthday florets card, you will need:
Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner Old Olive card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded lower right corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded lower right corner, one for the outside Old Olive card – 3¾” by 1¼”
Using Post It tape I masked off a strip about 1¼” deep across one of the panels of Basic White card. I stamped above and below the mask, overlapping the masking tape.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The framed Florets stamp set used to make a pretty floral birthday card for the Fitting Florets Blog Hop
I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I started with the larger leafy spray. The larger flower was stamped next, then the smaller flower followed by the pair of leaves and the sprig of berries.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The framed Florets stamp set used to make a pretty floral birthday card for the Fitting Florets Blog Hop
The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the images – Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Mint Macaron and Old Olive. The masking tape was then removed and the panel glued to the Old Olive layer. I used the same glue to adhere the panel onto the Flirty Flamingo card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The framed Florets stamp set used to make a pretty floral birthday card for the Fitting Florets Blog Hop
I stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set with Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I added it where the masking tape had been using Dimensionals.

Hello and welcome to the Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop where our theme is the new January – June and Sale-A-Bration catalogues which have just gone live. So many lovely things in both catalogues and who doesn’t love the opportunity to earn free goodies. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Hydrangea Haven stamp set to work with today.
If you have joined me from the lovely Stacey Marsh, welcome and please continue to hop around the demonstrators and get lots of inspiration.
To recreate Hydrangea Hill card, you will need:
Just Jade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Flirty Flamingo – 4¾” by 2¾” – rounded lower right corner Fluid 100 Water Color Paper – 4⅝” by 2⅝” – rounded lower right corner Scrap Just Jade card Very Vanilla – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower right corner – for the inside
I inked up the pretty hydrangea stamp with Versamark ink and used the Stamparatus to stamp the image onto Fluid 100 Water color paper. I did this twice to ensure that I had a good image on the textured card stock.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Hydrangea Haven stamp set used to make a birthday card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
The stamped image was then covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Hydrangea Hill stamp set used to make a birthday card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
Using Flirty Flamingo ink, squeezed into the lid of the ink pad and a Water Painter Brush I painted the flower head. As the color dries and added more in selected areas to deepen some of the flowers. I then added some Cherry Cobbler ink to selected areas of the flower. I used the same technique to add Just Jade ink to the stem and leaves.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Hydrangea Hill stamp set used to make a birthday card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the inked layer to the Flirty Flamingo panel. A piece of pretty Lace trim was then wrapped around the panel, secured on the back with Sellotape and the whole panel was then added n Dimensionals to the Just Jade card base.

I have been playing with the split image technique today having seen a great tutorial from Gail Ellis of Blue Rose Paper Treasures . I have used to Forever Blossoms stamp set to create my cards. If you have hopped over from the lovely Gez Carpenter, welcome. You are also very welcome if you are starting the hop with me.
To recreate the split image cards, you will need:
Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left and lower right corners Magenta Madness – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded upper left and lower right corners Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left and lower right corners x 2 Basic Black – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Black card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Magenta Madness – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
I took one Whisper White panel and the Basic Black panel – it is important that they are exactly the same size. I placed the White panel in my Stamparatus and stamped the image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Split Image technique using the Forever Blossoms stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I removed the white panel and replaced it with the Basic Black panel. I inked the same image using Versamark ink and closed the panel to stamp the image. The image was then covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Split Image technique using the Forever Blossoms stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The 2 stamped panels were then placed, one on top of the other in my Trimmer and cut at 1¼”.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Split Image technique using the Forever Blossoms stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
Taking 2 of the remaining Whisper White panels and glued the larger Basic Black piece and the smaller Whisper White pieces onto the spare Whisper White panels. Repeat with the other 2 pieces making sure to line up the images.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Split Image technique using the Forever Blossoms stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The whole piece was added to the Magenta Madness layer using the same Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around each panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. A bow from the same ribbon was added with a Mini Glue Dot.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Split Image technique using the Forever Blossoms stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I Stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set on the Basic Black panel and then stamped the same sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the Whisper White panel. I added a trio of In Color Enamel Dots to complete the cards.

Thank you for joining me today for the Colour Combo Blog Hop where our colours are: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose. I have chosen to use the All Things Fabulous stamp set to make my card, If you have hoped over from Jenn Charles, I am sure you loved her great project.
To Recreate the All Things Fabulous card, you will need:.
Rococo Rose card base –- 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right and lower left corners Coastal Cabana – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right corner Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper right corner x 2 Whisper White – 3½” by 2½” –- Rounded upper right corner
I ran one of the larger Whisper White panels through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. I love the subtle effect this folder gives to a project. The embossed layer was glued to the Coastal Cabana panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was added to the Rococo Rose card base with the same liquid Glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -All Things Fabulous used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose.
The sentiment from the Peaceful Poppies stamp set was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink onto the small panel of Whisper White. It was die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and added to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -All Things Fabulous used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose.
The larger flower was stamped in Rococo Rose. I stamped the inner detailed layer in full strength ink, added the middle layer in 2nd generation ink and the final layer in 3rd generation ink. I love that you can get lots of different shades from the same ink pad.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -All Things Fabulous used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose.
The smaller flower was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink. I find this one works better stamping the images in reverse – so 3rd generation ink for largest stamp first, 2nd generation for the middle image and full strength for the more detailed image,
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -All Things Fabulous used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose.
The leaves were stamped in Coastal Cabana, full strength and 2nd generation. All of the images were die cut using the Fabulous Floral dies. The images were then adhered to the card front with either liquid adhesive and/or dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -All Things Fabulous used for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose.
I added a bow made from the lovely Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon and coloured in 3 Pearls using the Rococo Rose Blends Markers and added them to the card front.
Sweet card. I hope you like it.

Today I am sharing a card made using the new Bloom and Grow stamp set and co-ordinating Budding Blooms dies. I saw a video by TheStampDoc – where she used this set with a technique called ‘ghost stamping’ and I thought I would give it a try.
To recreate the Bloom & Grow card you will need;
Melon Mambo card base Gray Granite 5⅜” by 3⅝” Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 Scrap Whisper White for the sentiment
I stamped the floral image onto the Gray Granite cardstock panel in Versamark ink and covered it with White Embossing Powder…….and yes, I did use my embossing buddy first. I heat set the powder with my Heat Tool and set it aside to cool.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Bloom and Grow stamp set used with the ghost stamping technique
Using the Budding Blooms dies I cut only the top half of the image by careful positioning of the cutting plates of my die cutting machine.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Bloom and Grow stamp set used with the ghost stamping technique
I added a couple of drops of Whisper White reinker to an acrylic bloc and added a drop of water with my Aqua Painter. I coloured in the whole image using the White ink and set it aside to dry.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Bloom and Grow stamp set used with the ghost stamping technique
I cleaned the ink off the acrylic block and added a drop of each of the following reinkers; Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo. I used my Aqua Painter to colour in the flowers and leaves.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Bloom and Grow stamp set used with the ghost stamping technique
I added the Gray Granite panel to the Whisper White layer and trimmed the excess cardstock away. The Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon was then wrapped around the panel and adhered with Sellotape on the back. The panel was then added to the Melon Mambo card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Bloom and Grow stamp set used with the ghost stamping technique
I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink onto scrap Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using the Rectangle Stitched dies. I ran it through twice to make a smaller label. This was added to the card front with Dimensionals. I added a bow in the same ribbon.
Thank you to the StampDoc for the inspiration, I really love this technique, it looks so pretty. I hope you like it.

Today I am sharing the 3 projects made by the ladies during the November classes. We used the gorgeous Beautiful Baubles stamp set and coordinating Detailed Bauble dies. This month I thought I would shake things up a bit by starting with the most complicated card and ending up with the most straightforward card instead of the other way round.
Hanging Bauble card
We began by taking the Coastal Cabana card base and laying a panel of Whisper White measuring 5⅜” by 3⅜” on the front. We then placed the 2nd largest circle die from the Layering Circle Framelits onto the Whisper White panel and ran both layers through the Big Shot together to give us the window. We then ran the die cut Whisper White piece through the Big Shot with the Oh My Stars Embossing folder and set it aside..
www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Baubles cards for November classes
Taking a die cut circle of Vellum and Sponge Daubers we sponged the centre with Coastal Cabana ink and added Gorgeous Grape around the edge and set the piece aside to dry. I had previously die cut 2 of the detailed baubles for each lady using the Detailed Bauble dies and Silver Foil Paper. These die cuts were placed face down onto the Silicon Craft, We squeezed a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto the sheet and picked it up with a small wedge of sponge and dabbed it all over both pieces. The coloured Vellum layer was the sandwiched between the 2 sticky layers and pressed together until the glue dried.
We threaded a small piece of ⅛” Whisper White Ribbon through the loop of the bauble and added it to the Coastal Cabana card front with Sellotape allowing the bauble to hang in the ‘window’. The embossed Whisper White layer was then added to the card front with multipurpose liquid adhesive, lining up the die cut window and hiding the ends of the ribbon. We coloured a longer piece of the same ribbon using the dark Highland Heather Blends pen and tied it in a bow before adding it to the top of the bauble with a Mini Glue Dot.
The sentiment from the Star of Light Stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape onto a scrap of Whisper White. This was then added to a scrap of Gorgeous Grape cardstock and trimmed down. It was added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and a scattering of Iridescent Sequins were added.
The inside Whisper White panel was added with the same adhesive after we had stamped some random stars in the upper right corner. We stamped the same stars on the front of a Whisper White Envelope.
Embossed Bauble
We began this card by swiping over a panel of Whisper White card stock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅜” using the Embossing Buddy. We then stamped the large bauble in the centre with Versamark ink. The string was added to the top of the bauble using Versark and the panel was then covered with Silver Embossing Powder. We then melted the embossing powder using the Heat Tool. Love this effect.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Baubles cards for November classes
Taking the following Blends pens we then coloured parts of the bauble – Light & Dark Highland Heather, Light & Dark Bermuda Bay & Light & Dark Pool Party. The upper right hand panel of the layer was rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch. We also rounded the upper right corner of the card front and a Gorgeous Grape layer measuring 5½” by 3¾”. The embossed panel was glued to the Gorgeous Grape layer with Multipurpose liquid Adhesive.
A strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock, 5⅞” by 2” was added to the front of the Thick Whisper White card base and the embossed layer added with Stampin Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink onto a scrap of Whisper White which was cut down and added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The card was finished off with a scattering of Iridescent Sequins.
Row of Baubles
We stamped the tiny snowflakes randomly down the left hand edge of a Bermuda Bay card base using Bermuda Bay ink. The baubles were stamped in Basic Gray onto a panel of Whisper White measuring 4⅛” by 2½” and stamped the little snowflakes along the top of the panel.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Baubles cards for November classe
Using a selection of Marker pens, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party, the ladies picked out some areas of the baubles to colour. A thin layer of Silver Foil was added to hide the top of the bauble strings and the panel was added to a layer of Gorgeous Grape cardstock 4⅛” by 2¾” and this was added to the card front on dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped onto the card front with Gorgeous Grape ink and we tucked in strips of Highland Heather, Whisper White and Coastal Cabana cardstock under the raised panel and added the scatter of Iridescent Sequins.

At team training last week Mikaela – my team leader – brought the gorgeous Blizzard Thinlit die and the new Embossing Mats for us to try out and asked us to make a card featuring the embossed piece…….this is mine.
Making the Blizzard Card
www.crafty-rootes.com – Embossing using the Blizzard thinlit dies by Stampin’ Up!
To emboss the panel we started with a piece of Pool Party cardstock big enough to cover the entire die. We used the Big Shot Platform, then the die face up, then the cardstock, then the thin blue silicon sheet and lastly the white embossing plate and ran the sandwich through the Big Shot. The effect is stunning and you can use either the positive or negative sides. Using my Paper Trimmer I cut the panel down to 4¾” by 3⅜” and rounded the upper left and lower right corners using the Detailed trio Punch.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Embossing using the Blizzard thinlit dies by Stampin’ Up!
I added the embossed layer to a panel of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5” by 3⅝” after rounding the same corners. This panel was then added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to a Night of Navy card base with identically rounded corners.
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I stamped the sweet little snowflake cluster on the bottom of the die cut piece in Pool Party ink.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Embossing using the Blizzard thinlit dies by Stampin’ Up!
I added a small piece of Tear ‘N Tape to the card front, wrapped some Silver Metallic Thread around my hand and added it to the Tear ‘N Tape. The sentiment piece was then added over the thread on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Taking some scrap Whisper White cardstock I die cut some of the snowflakes using the Blizzard die and added one to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. To finish I added some Basic Rhinestones.
Let me know what you think.

Last week I was asked to do a demonstration for the local village women’s group and this is the card I shared made using the Beautiful Bauble stamp set.
Beautiful Bauble card
I began by taking a panel of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3¾” by 3¾”. I ran my Embossing Buddy over the Whisper White panel to remove the static and oils from the cardstock. I inked up the large detailed bauble with Versamark ink and stamped it down onto the Whisper White panel. Then I covered the panel in Copper Embossing Powder, flicking off the excess powder before melting it with my Heat Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Bauble Christmas card using Stampin’ Up! products
I coloured in the Bauble using the Light & Dark Poppy Parade, Light & Dark Bermuda Bay & Light Pool Party Blends Alcohol Pens. The Whisper White panel was added to a piece of Copper Foil measuring 3⅞” by 3⅞” with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Bauble Christmas card using Stampin’ Up! products
I added some of the sweet little stars to the right hand side of the Pool Party card base and added the stamped panel with Stampin; Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. As a finishing touch I added some copper sequins from the Metallic Sequins selection using the fantastic new Take a Pick Tool.
