Trusty Tools card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based on a colour challenge. The colours we were given screamed ‘MASCULINE’ to me so I used the new Trusty Tools stamp set which will be available in my online shop from the 4th of January 2024.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the trusty tools card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I began by stamping the hammer, wrench and paint brush images from the Trusty Tools stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Back ink.

The Cheerful Daisies Stamp set & dies used to make a beautiful floral thank you card for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Cheerful Daisy Flowers card

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a picture/colour challenge to work with today. I really wanted to use the new abundant beaty masks today but they have sadly been out of stock in Europe so I have made my card using the lovely Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the cheerful daisy flowers card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Early Espresso card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card- 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using a Blending Brush and the Artistic Mix Masks I blended Crumb Cake ink onto the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card to add texture to the background.

The inked panel was then glued to the Early Espresso panel and a length of Natural Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Crumb Cake card base.

The outline of the large and small daisies were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto scrap Basic White card. The infill of the largest daisies were stamped in Crushed Curry ink and the smaller daisies with Azure Afternoon ink. The centres were added in Crumb Cake and/or Early Espresso ink. The flowers were then die cut using the Cheerful Daisies Dies. The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and die cut using the same dies.

I arranged the flowers over the ribbon, securing them with Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and/or Dimensionals. The leaves were tucked around the flowers.

The sentiment from the Throughout the Year stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card and trimmed out with scissors. A scrap of Early Espresso card was glued behind and trimmed down.

A double Linen Thread bow was added with a glue dot and the sentiment adhered over top. A trio of Blooming Pearls completed the card.

Please hop on to see what inspiration my crafty friends have to share with us today.
