A pretty Christmas card made for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop using the Textures & Frames stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Textured Baubles for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where our theme is Clean & Simple and I have chosen to make a card featuring textured baubles made using the Textures and Frames stamp set which is one of the Sale-a-Bration offerings which are free with a £45 order.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the textured baubles card, you will need:

Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Polished Pink card – 5⅛” by 3”
Basic White card – 5” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” for the inside
Basic White card – 3” by ⅝”

Taking the smaller panel of Basic White card, I stamped the solid circle image from the Textures & Frames stamp set in Polished Pink ink, I added the open circle image around the outside in the same ink and ended with the stripes, again in the Polished Pink.

I repeated the stamping with Fresh Freesia ink and So Saffron ink to create the effect of baubles.

The ‘bag’ image from the Penguin Place stamped was stamped on top of each bauble to create the hanger using Smoky Slate ink. Don’t they look great.

A gorgeous Christmas card made using the Peaceful Cabin stamp set by Stampin' Up! and made for a team swap

Team Swaps – Peaceful Cabin

We had a fun team meeting yesterday, first in person meet since before Christmas 2019. It was so lovely to see everyone again and to share news and inspiration. As part of the event many of us made swaps to share and I chose to make mine using the Peaceful Cabin stamp set from the July – December 2021 mini catalogue which launches to customers on the 3rd August.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the team swap card, you will need:

Balmy Blue cad base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

I stamped the cabin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I was making multiple cards for the team swap and the Stamparatus gave me the opportunity to stamp the image many times with ease. I could also re-stamp if I wanted the image to be darker. Love my Stamparatus.

I stamped the image again on a Post It Note, cut it out and used it to mask the cabin before stamping the large trees in Mossy Meadow ink.

The mask was left in place and I added a 1” circle mask for the moon. Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to create the sky behind the cabin and trees.  The masks were then removed.

Hello and welcome to the Ink. I have chosen to use one of these sets, Christmas Trimmings,  to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

T recreate the Christmas Trimmings card, you will need:

So Saffron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner

A pretty Christmas Medallion card in rich red. Made using Stampin' Up! products

Christmas Medallion

I know, I know the word Christmas will have brought some of you out in a rash but I couldn’t resist making this Christmas Medallion card using the Treasured Medallion stamp set and Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, both of which are retiring………. Sad face….

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Christmas Medallion card, you will need:

Crumb Cake – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Real Red – 5” by 3 ¼”
Basic White – 4⅞” by 3⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

I began by randomly stamping the large medallion from the Treasured Medallion stamp set in Real Red ink onto the smaller Basic White panel.

Using a Pool Party marker from the set of Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers I coloured in small areas of the medallions to give a little contrast.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I added the stamped panel to the Real Red panel and wrapped a length of Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon around the panel securing in on the back with Sellotape.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Real Red ink and die cut it out using the Tasteful Labels dies and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Such a pretty card. I am so sad that these stamp sets are retiring. I hope you like the card.

A pretty Christmas card made using non traditional colours and using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set

Rosy Snowflakes

Here is a sweet non-traditional rosy snowflakes Christmas card. I  really like the snowflakes in these unusual colours, they look quite bold.

To recreate the rosy snowflakes Christmas card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Bermuda Bay – 5” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper right corner
Cherry Cobbler – 4¾” by 2⅞” – Rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 4⅝” by 2¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded Upper right corner – for the inside

I ran the panel of Bermuda Bay through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Rococo Rose card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the largest snowflake in Bermuda Bay ink randomly over the same panel. I added the other two snowflakes in Rococo Rose ink. The group of small snowflakes were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and the dotty image Was used to fill in the gaps using Rococo Rose ink.
