Hello and welcome to the Fun in the Sun Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by sunny days. I love being beside the sea and have chosen to make a set sail card using the Let’s Set Sale stamp set and Sailboat Dies.
Colors used in this project are:
To recreate the set sail card, you will need:
Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Hues of Happiness dsp – 5 ¾” by 4”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Vellum – 2¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card
Using the Layering Circle Dies, I die cut a circle from the smaller panel of Basic White card. The negative panel was glued to the piece of Hues of Happiness dsp with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I stamped the birds in Basic Gray ink along the top of the die cut white panel. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink at the bottom of the panel. A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then added to the Night of Navy card front.
The sailboat was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and punched out with the Sailboat Punch. The sails were then stamped in night of Navy ink and punched out using the same ink.
I die cut a smaller circle from the piece of Vellum using the Stylish Shapes Dies and added the pieces of the boat using Mini Glue Dots. The decorated circle was then mounted in the centre of the die cut circle on Dimensionals.
A Baker’s Twine bow and a trio of 2022 – 2024 In Color Dots completed the card.
I hope you like it.
Please continue to hop along and be inspired by the fun in the sun projects shared by my stamping friends.
