A lovely flowery card made using Stampin' Up! products and Mango & Poppy ink

Mango & Poppy Blossoms

Here is a gorgeous card featuring Mango & Poppy Blossoms, made using the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and these bright, bold colours. You may have seen a sneak peek of this card back in May on my facebook page.

To recreate the Mango & Poppy Blossoms card you will need:

Pear Pizzazz – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White 4¾” by 3” -– rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Scrap Whisper White and Poppy Parade card

I inked up the large floral stamp from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set in Mango Melody ink and added some Poppy Parade ink to the edges of the flowers using a Poppy Parade ink and stamped it onto the smaller Whisper White card.

The flower centres were added in Soft Suede ink, the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and the small flowers in Poppy Parade ink.

The stamped layer was added to the Pear Pizzazz layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then onto the Poppy Parade card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Poppy Parade ink onto the scrap Whisper White card and trimmed it out with scissors. I added a flash of Poppy Parade card below the sentiment and added it to the card front with the liquid adhesive.

A trio of Holiday Rhinestones was added to complete the card.

Hearts & Flowers

Today I am sharing a really sweet hearts & flowers birthday card made using the Basket of Blooms stamp set and the Be Mine dies.

To recreate the hearts & flowers card you will need:

Magenta Madness card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner
Blackberry Bliss – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded lower left corner – x 2
Whisper White – 4” by 3 “

I began by die cutting a heart from the Be Mine die set from the smallest piece of Whisper White card. I laid the heart onto one of the Whisper White panels and lightly drew around it with a pencil.

I stamped the leaves in Just Jade ink on the top left and bottom right of the heart shape making sure to overlap the pencil line. I added the largest flower in Bumblebee ink and the sweet flower on a stem in the Magenta Madness ink.

I added the smaller flowers in Blackberry Bliss ink and 2^nd generation Magenta Madness ink.

From the centre of the Blackberry Bliss layer I die cut the stitched heart. The stamped Whisper White panel was then glued to the Blackberry Bliss layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. This was mounted on the Magenta Madness card base using the same glue.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped in the centre of the heart in Magenta Madness ink. The heart was then glued to the Backberry Bliss heart with the liquid glue. The heart was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To complete the card I added a scatter of 2020 – 2022 In Color Enamel Dots. So pretty.

Lipstick and Flowers

This is a sweet lipstick and flowers birthday card made using the Dressed to Impress Stamp set and All Dressed Up dies.

To recreate the lipstick and flowers card you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Early Espresso – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Early Espresso – 3” by 3”
Whisper White – 3” by 3”
Scrap Whisper White

Using Flirty Flamingo ink I stamped the single and double flowers randomly over the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Whisper White. The panel was then glued to the Early Espresso layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a strip of Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon around the panel and secured it to the back of the panel with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Flirty Flamingo card base with the same liquid glue.

The lipstick was stamped on scrap Whisper White card in Early Espresso ink and cut out using the All Dressed Up dies. The image was then coloured using Flirty Flamingo combo and Gray Granite combo Blends Markers.

From the square of Whisper White card I die cut a stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes dies. The Early Espresso scalloped circle was cut using the Layering Circle dies. The two circles were glued together with the liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto the Whisper White circle in Flirty Flamingo ink. I added a sprinkling of dots in 2^nd generation Early Espresso ink before the Lipstick was added with liquid glue.

I trimmed off a little from the left side of the circle and added it to the card front on Dimensionals. I used the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Marker to colour in a trio of Basic Pearls before adding them to the card front.

Sunflower Birthday

Today I am sharing a fun fold sunflower birthday card made for my aunts 80^th birthday earlier this week.

To recreate the Sunflower Birthday card you will need:

Thick Whisper White – 11” by 4⅛” – scored at 5½” – rounded upper left corner
Early Espresso – 11” by 1¼” scored at 2¾”, 5½ & 8¼”
In Good Taste dsp – 5⅜ by 4” x 4
Old Olive – 4¾” by 3½” x 2
Old Olive – 3⅜” by 2½” x 4
Whisper White – 4½” by 3¼” x 2
Whisper White – 3⅛” by 2¼”

Front panel

Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper left corner of one of the dsp panels and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The large sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set were stamped on one of the larger Whisper White panels in Early Espresso ink. The leaves were added in Old Olive ink. The images were coloured using the following Blends Markers – Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Seaside Spray.

The upper left corner of the stamped panel was rounded. Also one of the Old Olive panels and the two panels were glued together with the liquid adhesive. The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped on scrap In Good Taste dsp in Versamark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using the Heat Tool. I trimmed it out with Scissors and glued it to the card front.

1^St inside panel

I rounded the the upper right corner of another of the dsp panels and adhered it inside the card on the left. I adhered the first 2¾” panel of the Early Espresso strip to the inside front panel.

The smaller sunflower was stamped in Early Espresso ink and coloured using the following Blends Markers – Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Seaside Spray. The stamped panel was added to one of the small Old Olive layers and adhered to the 1¼” strip of Early Espresso.

The sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink. I placed a mask over the bottom of the flowers and stamped the outline of the small jar in Early Espresso ink and the inside was added using the reverse of the stamp in 2^nd generation Pool Party ink.

The image was the coloured using the following Blends Markers – Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Seaside Spray Purple Posy. The corners were punched and the panels glued together with the liquid adhesive. The whole piece was added to the Early Espresso strip.

I rounded the the upper left corner of another of the dsp panels and adhered it inside the card on the right. I adhered the last 2¾” panel of the Early Espresso strip to the inside front panel.

The sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set were stamped in Early Espresso ink and coloured using the following Blends Markers – Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Seaside Spray. The stamped panel was added to an Old Olive panel and adhered to the Early Espresso strip.

The small sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set were stamped in Early Espresso and coloured with the Blends Markers mentioned above.

I stamped the 80 from the Family Party stamp set in Early Espresso ink and added the happy birthday in the same ink. The stamped panel was adhered to the remaining small Old Olive panel and then to the Early Espresso strip.

Back Panel

Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper right corner of the final dsp panels and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the last Old Olive layer.

I stamped the sunflower in one colour asnd coloured it as before. I left plenty of room to write a message. In fact I was so keen to write my message I forgot to photograph the panel first……..numpty…..

Oh my goodness these Zany Zebras are so adorable, they look so mischievous …….. definitely looking for trouble.

To recreate the Zany Zebra card you will need:

Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
In Good Taste dsp – 4⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded upper left corner
Terracotta Tile – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5” by 3¼” – Rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Seaside Spray 2 ½” by ½”

The In Good Taste designer series paper was glued to the Seaside Spray card base using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the 3 cute zebras across the smaller Very Vanilla panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the dark Calypso Coral Blends Marker to accentuate the strips on the Zebras.

The sweet stars were stamped in Seaside Spray ink. I added a little ‘ground’ under each Zebra with a Crumb Cake Blends Marker.

The stamped panel was added onto the Terracotta Tile layer with the liquid adhesive and the whole panel was mounted on the card front with Dimensionals.

Hello and welcome to the Hopping Around the World Blog Hop where our theme is ‘favourite product’ and oh my goodness we are spoilt for choice with the new catalogue. I have chosen to use the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set to make my card. If you have joined me from Jennifer Downey’s blog, welcome and I am sure you loved her project.

To recreate the Blossoms card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Gorgeous Grape – 5” by 3¼” – rounded lower right corner
Whisper White – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower right corner
Gorgeous Grape – ½” wide strip

Using one of the small flowers and Pool Party ink I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Pool Party card to add some subtle texture.

I inked up the large floral image in Pool Party ink and added some Gorgeous Grape ink to the edges of the flowers using a Sponge Dauber. I love the two-tone effect this gives. I stamped it on the smaller panel of Whisper White.

The small flowers were randomly added using Gorgeous Grape ink. The flower centres were stamped in Gray Granite ink and the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink.

The stamped layer was added to the Gorgeous Grape layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and mounted on the card front with Dimensionals.

I wiped my embossing buddy over the strip of Gorgeous Grape and stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my heat tool.

I stamped the small flower on the remaining Whisper White panel and onto the envelope to complete the card.

A pretty cake themed card, perfect for a birthday celebration

Cake Anyone?

Cake Anyone? – I love a bit of cake and have found myself baking regularly while we are in lock down, trying out all sorts of new recipes – favourite so far is Rhubarb and Orange……. Yum…..

To recreate the cake anyone? card you will need :

Thick Whisper White – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Blushing Bride – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Silver Foil – 5” by ½”
Rich Razzelberry – 4” by 3”
Whisper White – 3½” by 2½”

I ran the Blushing Bride panel through the Big Shot inside the gorgeous Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. I then cut the panel down on a diagonal – this will give 2 pieces for 2 separate cards.

A silver foil strip was added to the top of the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was then added to the Thick Whisper White card base.

I stamped the sweet cake and cake stand from the Piece of Cake stamp set, onto the Whisper White panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment was added beneath in Rich Razzelberry ink.

I used the Rich Razzelberry Blends combo to colour in the cake icing. The cake stand was coloured using the Blushing Bride Marker Pen.

The stamped panel was the cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and a larger rectangle was cut from the Rich Razzelberry layer. These were glued together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I coloured 3 Basic Pearls with the dark Rich Razzelberry Blends marker and added them to the card front.

Summertime – Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this months Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop, my name is Mo Rootes and I live near Cambridge in the UK.

Our theme this month is Summertime, Summertime. I am so looking forward to the warmer weather and hopefully being able to get out and about a bit more – Covid-19 permitting. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Beautiful Moments stamp set for my cards

To recreate the Summertime card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Best dressed dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Highland Heather 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Whisper White 3½” by 2½”
Whisper White ¼” strip

I adhered the gorgeous Best Dressed dsp to the front of the Thick Whisper White card base using Snail adhesive.

The lovely mother and daughter image from the Beautiful Moments stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Whisper White card.

I used pieces of sponge to lightly apply So Saffron ink to the bottom of the panel and Highland Heather to the top of the panel.

The mother and daughter were then stamped onto scrap pieces of dsp from the Best Dressed dsp pack. The dresses were then fussy cut out using sharp scissors. The dresses were then glued on using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I coloured the mother and daughter in with the following Blends Markers – So Saffron combo, Bronze & Ivory.

The stamped panel was adhered with Snail to the Highland Heather layer. I used Dimensionals to add the layer to the card front.

The sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set was stamped on the Whisper White strip with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I trimmed it down with scissors and added it to the card front.

I used the same image, dsp and colours to make an alternative version on a Purple Posy card base.

A hot air balloon themed card made using Stampin' Up! Product

Above the Clouds

Here is a sweet card made using the soon to be retiring Above the Clouds stamp set teamed up with the gorgeous Mountain Air stamp set.

To recreate the Above the Clouds card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower left corner
Blueberry Bushel – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower left corner – one for the inside
Scrap Whisper White and Crumb Cake

Taking one of the Whisper White layers I added Blueberry Bushel ink using a Sponge Brayer to achieve an ombre effect from side to side.

Using Soft Suede ink I stamped the detailed and the solid mountain images from the Mountain Air stamp set along the bottom of the inked panel. The panel was then adhered to the Blueberry Bushel layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then to the Thick Whisper White card base with the same glue.

I stamped the 3 hot air balloons in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Whisper White card and punched them out using the Hot Air Balloon Punch. The left hand balloons was coloured using 2^nd generation Grapefruit Grove ink with detail added using the Grapefruit Grove Stamp ‘n write marker. The bunting was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the light Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and Call Me Clover Blends Markers.

The middle balloon was coloured using the Lovely Lipstick combo, Pineapple Punch combo and Call Me Clover combo Blends Markers. The left hand balloon was coloured using full strength Pineapple Punch ink. The balloons were added to the card front using either the liquid adhesive or Dimensionals.

The baskets were stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto scrap Crumb Cake card and punched out using the Hot Air Balloon Punch. They were added below the balloons using both liquid adhesive or Dimensionals. The birds from the Above the Clouds and Mountain Air stamp sets were stamped in Soft Suede ink.

The sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink and added to the yellow balloon to complete the card.

Two little girls on a beach birthday card made using the Beautiful Moments stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Beach Babies

Today I am sharing an adorable beach babies card made using the Beautiful Moments stamp set and the gorgeous Best Dressed designer series paper (dsp).

To recreate the beach babies card you will need:

I adhered the gorgeous Best Dressed dsp to the front of the Thick Whisper White card base using Snail adhesive.

The 2 adorable little girls from the Beautiful Moments stamp set were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Whisper White card.

I punched a circle from a Post It Note using the ¾” Circle Punch and added it to the stamped panel. I used pieces of sponge to lightly apply So Saffron ink to the bottom of the panel and Highland Heather to the top of the panel. Remove the post It Note circle.

Stamp the girls onto scrap pieces of dsp from the Best Dressed dsp pack. The dress of each girl was then fussy cut out using sharp scissors. The dresses were then glued on using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I coloured the girls in with the following Blends Markers – So Saffron combo, Purple Posy combo, Bronze & Ivory.

The stamped panel was adhered with Snail to the Highland Heather layer. I used Dimensionals to add the layer to the card front.

The sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set was stamped on the Whisper White strip with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I trimmed it down with scissors and added it to the card front.

I used the same image, dsp and colours to make an alternative version.
