Santa card – Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are being inspired by a sketch. I have chosen to use the Sweetest Star stamp set and the Season of Elegance designer series paper (dsp) to make my card.

 

Colours in this card are:

 

To recreate the Santa card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Season of Elegance dsp – 5⅞” by 1¾”
Basic Black card – 5⅞” by ⅜”
Basic Black card – 2⅜” by 2⅜”
Season of Elegance dsp – 2¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 2¾” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

 

I adhered the 5⅞” by ⅜” strip of Basic Black card to the long panel of Season of Elegance dsp and then glued the whole piece to the Basic Beige card front.

 

The square of Season of Elegance dsp was then glued to the square of Basic Black card and added it to the card front.

 

The Santa was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the square of Basic White card, and I punched it out using the Sweetest Star Punch.

 

The following Blends were used to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. He is too cute…… I added him to the card front on Dimensionals.

 

The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto scrap Basic White card. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

 

A trio of Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots completed the card.
