Daydream Happiness Quilt card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on recently. I saw a a Youtube video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unb611k4Kec posted by fellow demo Julie Heitz and decided to have a try at making her quilt card. I have adapted it to suit A4 cardstock and used different dsp.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the daydream happiness quilt card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Early Espresso card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Grid Paper – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Design A Daydream dsp – 3” by 1” – 3 strips of different patterns
Basic White card – 3” by ¼” x 4
Hues of Happiness dsp – die cut flower and leaves
Scrap Basic White card

I ran the smaller Basic White layer through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the pretty Gingham Embossing Folder and adhered the embossed panel to the Early Espresso panel. The layer was then glued to the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using a paper trimmer, I cut the strips of Design a Daydream dsp into 1” squares.

I cut a 3” by 3” square from a piece of Grid Paper. And laid out the 1” dsp squares onto the grid paper creating a pattern. When I was happy with the layout, I used liquid glue to adhere the 1” squares to the grid paper.

I glued the ¼” strips over the dsp panel and ran the whole piece through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. The panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Basic White card and tucked it under the quilted panel.

I die cut a flower and some leaves from the Hues of Happiness dsp using the Blossoming Happiness Dies. The flower was curved using a Bone Folder and added to the card on Dimensionals, the leaves were tucked under.

Using an Early Espresso Blends Pen, I coloured in 3 Classic Matte Dies and added them to complete the card.

Such a pretty card. Thank you to Julie for the inspiration.

Please continue to hop along to see the projects shared by my fellow hoppers.
