Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. I am sharing a mountain scene card made using the colours dictated by the challenge:

To recreate the mountain scene, you will need:

Garden Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Fresh Freesia card – 5⅞” by ⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black card – 2⅜” by ⅜”

The strip of Fresh Freesia card was adhered to the Garden Green card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive,

The detailed mountain image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink across the smaller Basic White panel. I cleaned the stamp and turned it face down onto the same block. I inked up the back with Fresh Freesia ink, stamped it off and the stamped it over the detailed mountains, slightly offset.

The trees were stamped at the base of the mountains in Garden Green ink. I inked the same tree image in Smoky Slate ink, stamped it off onto grid paper and stamped it upside down below the trees. I stamped it repeatedly until no ink remained.

Using the retired ¾” circle punch, I punch a circle from a Post It Note and added it above the mountains. I used a Blending Brush to add Smoky Slate ink to the sky and also around all four edges. The mask was then removed. The panel was then glued to the Basic Black layer with liquid glue and then mounted the panel onto the Garden Green card front using  Dimensionals.

A framed occasions card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share colour challenge Blog Hop using the Framed Occasions stamp set and Beautiful Shapes Dies by Stampin' Up!

Occasion Framed card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge. We were asked to create something using 3 of the following 5 colours:

I couldn’t pick just 3, I mean which 3 would you choose?……..so….. I used them all + Basic White to create an occasion framed card.

To recreate the occasion framed card, you will need:

Thick Basic White care base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Polished Pink card – Smidgeon under 5” by smidgeon under 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅞ by 3⅛”
Scrap Basic White card

The layer of Design A Daydream designer series paper (dsp) was glued to the Thick Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the hexagonal frame in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the scrap Basic White card an added the sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink. This was then die cut using the Beautiful Shapes dies.

The die was then placed on the panel of Basic White card and using a pencil, I drew lightly around the inside. This helps when positioning the stamped images.

Th flowers were stamped first in Polished Pink ink, I always like to stamp the larger images first. The leafy sprig was then stamped in Parakeet Party, the outer image in full strength and the infill image in 2nd generation ink.

The smaller sprig was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, the long thin, sprig added in Parakeet Party and finally, the trio of dots in Tahitian Tide. The pencil lines were then erased and the stamped panel added to the Polished Pink layer.

An Autumnal tree themed card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beauty of Friendship stamp ser by Stampin' Up!

Autumnal Tree card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we have no theme and can choose anything we like to share. I have chosen a pretty Autumnal tree card made with the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Autumnal Tree card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Sun Prints dsp – 5½” by 3¾” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Cherry Cobbler card – 4⅞” by 3⅓” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners – for the inside
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the piece of Sun Prints dsp to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

I inked the skeleton tree with Gray Granite, only the trunk and lower branches and stamped it onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. The ground was stamped in 2nd generation Gray Granite ink.

I used the tiny splatter image in Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler ink to add texture to the tree canopy and falling to the ground. The stamped panel was added to the Cherry Cobbler panel. I added a bow made from the Gray Granite Ribbon in the upper right- hand corner securing the ends on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then mounted onto the card front.

The sentiment was stamped on the strip of Basic White card in Pear Pizzazz ink and trimmed it out with Scissors. A trio of Red Rhinestones completed the card.

4 Christmas cards made using the one-sheet wonder technique and the Leaves of Holly stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Holly One-Sheet Wonder for September Classes

We had such fun in classes over the last couple of weeks using the Leaves of Holly stamp set to create a holly one sheet wonder and then cut the sheet apart to create four simple cards.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the holly one sheet wonder cards, you will need:

1 sheet of A4 sheet of Basic White card – to stamp on
4 Card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
4 Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Basic White strip ¾” wide

Creating the one sheet wonder:

We stamped the larger detailed holly leaf using Evening Evergreen ink and added the solid leafy image overtop using Soft Succulent ink. The smaller holly leaf was stamped in the same way using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Smoky Slate ink.

The outline berries were stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink and the in-fill colour added using Polished Pink ink. We added the dotage image from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink. Finally, we stamped the trio of snowflakes, randomly in Orchid Oasis ink.

Using a Paper Trimmer, we then cut the A4 sheet into 4 equal pieces by cutting it at 5⅞” on the long side and 4⅛” on the short side.

The ladies then chose 4 card bases form the co-ordinating colours – Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Polished Pink, Sweet Sorbet & Orchid Oasis.

Once they had chosen the card bases, they wanted to use, the ladies decided which panels to use for a portrait card and which as a landscape card. They also decided whether to leave the panels whole and plain or to emboss them.

Some chose to cut them into strips 1¼” wide, or from corner to corner diagonally. I cut layers of a co-ordinating card to mount the strips onto.

The sentiments were then stamped, either directly onto the panel or onto ¾” strips of Basic White card and trimmed them down before adding them to the card fronts.

Everyone’s cards turned out differently and we all really enjoyed putting them together. I hope you like them.
