A card using the 2023 - 2025 In Colors and It's a Science stamp setby Stampin' Up! made for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

It’s A Science card

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using the 2023 – 2025 In Colors. I have used the It’s A Science stamp set to make a card for my son in law who is a chemical engineering graduate.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the it’s a science card, you will need:

Boho Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Wild Wheat card – 2½” by 2½” – cut in half diagonally
Basic White card – 2¾” by 2¾” – cut in half diagonally

Using the wood plank image from the Lazy Days stamp set I stamped along the bottom of the smaller Basic White panel.

Having lined the images of the microscope and beakers up on my grid paper, making sure the bottoms lined up and picked them up using the I block – the microscope did stick out over the top but stamped well. I inked up the images with Pebbled Path ink and stamped it onto the smaller panel of Basic White panel above the wood planks.

Using the Blends Alcohol Pens I coloured in the images, I used the color lifter to add ‘light’ to the beakers.

I added Pebbled Path ink to the bottom of the panel using a Blending Brush and another brush to add Boho Blue ink to the top and sides of the same panel.

The triangles of Wild Wheat were then glued to the upper left and lower right corners of the stamped panel. The Basic White triangles were added next and the whole piece was mounted onto the Boho Blue card base on Dimensionals.
