A floral birthday card using the Beautiful Bouquet and Perennial Birthday stamp sets by Stampin' Up!

Goodbye to the 2019 – 2020 catalogue

Hello and welcome to the May Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop where our theme is ‘Goodbye to the 2019 – 2020 Catalogue’.  If you have joined me from the lovely Libby Dyson, I am sure you loved her project.

There are so many lovely things which are retiring that I was spoilt for choice. In fact everything I have used will be retiring from the catalogue with the exception of the Whisper White card stock!

To recreate the Goodbye to the 2019 – 2020 Catalogue card you will need:

Grapefruit Grove card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Blueberry Bushel – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside
Blueberry Bushel – 5” by 1⅛”
Whisper White – 5” by 1”

I began by stamping the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink. I love the size and the font of this Happy Birthday, I will miss it. I placed the stamped sentiment strip at an angle onto one of the larger Whisper White panels and lightly drew down each side in pencil to give me a guide to where I should stamp my flowers.

With this type of masked card I also start by stamping the largest images and working may way down to the smallest images which I use to fill in. I used the 5 retiring 2018 – 2020 In Colors to stamp my images – they were stamped in this order Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel. I used the gorgeous Beautiful Bouquet set for this part of the card. I am so going to miss this set, love all the flowers and the huge number of great sentiments.

The medium Daisy Punch used with the gorgeous Ornate Garden dsp for a pretty thank you card

Ornate Garden

Here is a sweet card made with using the medium daisy punch and a piece of the gorgeous Ornate Garden designer series paper (dsp).

To recreate the Ornate Garden card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card stock – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Ornate Garden dsp -5⅞” by 3⅛”
Gold Foil – 5⅞” by 1”
Scrap Whisper White and Vellum

I die cut the decorative border from the Gold Foil using the Ornate Border dies and adhered it to the back of the dsp panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The panel was then added to the Thick Whisper White card front using the same liquid adhesive.

I used the Medium Daisy Punch and scrap Whisper White card to punch out 2 daisies. These were glued together using a Mini Glue Dot.

I rubbed my embossing buddy over some scrap Whisper White and stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set using Versamark ink. I covered it in Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.

I added the daisy to the card front using the same liquid glue. I added a Gold Faceted Dot to the centre of the flower. The leaves were punched using the Leaf Punch and the Sprig Punch and scrap vellum. They were tucked in under the flower using Mini Glue Dots.
