Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing projects we have been working on recently. I am sharing a half -penned half sheet wonder. I am working on potential class ideas and a one sheet wonder was on my list.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the hand-penned half sheet wonder you will need:
Basic White 8¼” by 5⅞
4 card bases – I chose, Polished Pink, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Soft Succulent
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 7 – 4 for the inside and 3 for the outside – 2 panels had rounded upper right corners.
Soft Succulent – 3¼” by 2”
Basic White – 2½” by 2”
Basic White – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Evening Evergreen – 3⅞” by 2⅞”
Scrap Soft Succulent & Basic White
Using the 2 largest images from the Hand-Penned stamp set I randomly stamped all over the large piece of Basic White using Evening Evergreen ink. I kept the images as close together as possible, turning them to get a good fit.
I used the in-fill stamps to colour in the images. The larger flowers in full strength Polished Pink ink, the medium single flower in 2nd generation Polished Pink, The smaller single flower in 2nd generation Highland Heather ink.
The larger, fuller flower was stamped in full strength Highland Heather ink. The pairs of smaller flowers were stamped in Daffodil Delight ink.
I used 1st & 2nd generation Soft Succulent ink for the leaves and added Evening Evergreen to the base of the larger leaves.
When the whole panel was stamped, I cut it into two panels each 5⅜” by 3⅝”, saving the off cuts which were used to decorate the inside panels of the cards.
One of the panels was then cut from corner to corner and added to 2 of the large white panels using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The sentiment form the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set was stamped, one in Polished Pink, the other in Highland Heather. These panels were then added either the Polished Pink or Highland Heather card base.
Using the trimmer, I cut the 2nd large stamped panel in half on the long side.
I cut one of these pieces in half again and mounted both strips onto one of the larger Basic White panels with the liquid glue. I wrapped a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon around the panel before adhering it to the Daffodil Delight card base. Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies I cut 2 labels, one from the small piece of Basic White and the other from the larger piece of Soft Succulent. The sentiment was stamped on the smaller label in Soft Succulent ink, the panels were the glued together and mounted on the card front on Dimensionals. I added a bow on a Mini Glue Dot.
Using one of the large images I stamped in Soft Succulent ink onto the Soft Succulent card base. The Basic White panel was added to the centre of the card front. The remaining stamped panel was added to the Evening Evergreen layer with liquid glue, then to the Basic White panel on the Soft Succulent card base. Using Polished Pink ink, I stamped the sentiment onto scrap Basic White card and trimmed it out with scissors. I added a scrap piece of Soft Succulent to the back of the sentiment and glued it to the card base.
I really love these cards. I hope you like them as well.
