Today I am joining the Hopping Around the World Blog Hop crew where we have a sketch challenge to follow. I love a sketch challenge, it really pushes you out of your comfort zone to try something else. I have chosen to use the Clubhouse stamp set for this hop.
To recreate the Clubhouse cared you will need:
Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green – 4⅞” by 2⅞”
Whisper White – 4¾” by 2¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Night of Navy – 3¼ ” by ⅜”
Country Club dsp – 5⅞” by 1¼”
I began by adhering the strip if Country Club designer series paper (dsp) to the front of the Seaside Spray card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The golfer was stamped on the smaller panel of Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink.
I used an Aquapainter to colour in the trousers using only the ink I had stamped the image with. Using a little Garden Green ink and the Aquapainter I coloured in the jumper and Real Red to colour the cap and gloves.
The grass from the My Meadow stamp set was stamped in Garden Green ink, I used the same ink with the Garden Green ink and Aquapainter to colour the ground.
The stamped panel was added to the Garden Green layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the whole piece was mounted on the card base with Dimensionals.
I used the Embossing Buddy on the Night of Navy strip then stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool and added it to the card base with the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
Such a simple but effective card. I hope you like it.
Please hop on to see what Margriet Siekman has to share with us this month.
