I have been playing with the new Country Birdhouse stamp set and dies and have made a pretty thank you card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the country birdhouse card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Smoky Slate card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Country Woods dsp, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Smoky Slate & Basic Black

The sentiment, from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was stamped at the bottom of the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card in Misty Moonlight ink.

From scrap pieces of Country Woods dsp I die cut the whole birdhouse and the bottom panel of the birdhouse. I die cut the hole in the birdhouse and glued a scrap of Basic Black card behind the whole.

I stamped the pieces of the roof from scrap Basic White, Smoky Slate and Misty Moonlight card. The pieces were placed together and held in place with Dimensionals. I added them over the top of the dsp birdhouse. The bottom panel was added to the base of the birdhouse on Dimensionals.

The birdhouse stand was die cut from scrap Smoky Slate card. This was glued to the Basic White panel and the birdhouse glued on top.

A selection of flowers and leaves were die cut from scrap Basic White, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green card. These were added to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and/or liquid glue.

Iridescent Pearls were added to the flower centres to finish the card.

Fluffy Cat Thank You card

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on recently. I have used the new to me Fluffiest Friends stamp set to make a pretty thank you card for a cat loving friend.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the fluffy cat card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Perennial Lavender dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 2” by ½”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Perennial Lavender dsp to one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White card. The panel was then adhered to the Gray Granite card base.

From the 3 ½” by 3 ½” piece of Basic White card I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The cat and the flowers were stamped onto the die cut circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Gorgeous Grape, Smoky Slate & Gray Granite.

Using 2^nd generation Smoky Slate ink I stamped the clouds from the Under The Moon stamp set. The circle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Simple Thank You Card – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch for inspiration. I have to say, I found this sketch a bit of a challenge and a number of attempts went in the bin before I made a card I was happy with. I used the Cake Fancy stamp set to make a simple thank you card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the simple thank you card, you will need:

Calypso Coral card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the Grid Paper, I lined up the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card so that it was straight.

The first row was stamped in Summer Splash ink using the swirly ‘icing’ image.

The second, and smallest row of hearts was stamped using Calypso Coral ink. Lastly, I stamped the tiny leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I auditioned various sentiments stamped on various labels in various colours but none of them looked right and I ended up stamping a sentiment from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set along the bottom of the panel.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Basic Black layer and then mounted onto the Calypso Coral card base on Dimensionals.

Magnolia Seed Pod card

Today’s card was made using the Magnolia Mood stamp set and co-ordinating dies and features the magnolia seed pod.

To recreate the magnolia seed pod card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 5⅛” by 3 ⅜”
Lighter Than Air dsp – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Scrap Basic White and Pebbled Path card

The panel of Lighter Than Air dsp was glued to the layer of Pebbled Path card.

A length of Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. I added a length of Gold Ribbon was adhered down the centre of the Pebbled Path Ribbon and the whole layer was the adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

The magnolia seed pod, form the Magnolia Mood stamp set, was stamped on scrap Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it out using the Magnolia Mood Dies.

From the square of Basic White card, I die cut a circle using the Everyday Details dies. The die cut circle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals and the coloured image was then glued to the die cut circle.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using a Heat Tool. I trimmed it out, flagged the ends and glued it to the card front.

A trio of Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins and a gold bow completes the card.

Trio of Balloons card

Here is a card featuring a trio of hot air balloons die cut from the gorgeous Lighter Than Air dsp and the Hot Air Balloon Dies.

To recreate the trio of balloons card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lighter Than Air dsp
Scrap Basic White

Using Post It tape I masked off a 1½” strip on the Thick Basic White card front. A Blending Brush was used to apply Balmy Blue ink in the negative space on the card front.

With the Post It mask still in place I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the In The Grove stamp set across the bottom in Gray Granite ink. The masking strips were then peeled off.

I stamped the pine tree from the Encircled in Nature stamp set was stamped in Shaded Spruce, full strength and 2^nd generation.

From the Lighter Than Air dsp I die cut a selection of Hot Air Balloons and balloon baskets. These were added to the card front on either Dimensionals or with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from the Encircled in Nature stamp set was stamped in Gray Granite ink onto the Thick Basic White card front. Sadly, I stamped it squint…….. so I stamped it again in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Basic White card and glued it over the mistake!

Country Flowers card

The card I am sharing today is made with the pretty new stamp set called Country Flowers, available from the 1^st May 2024 in the new annual catalogue.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the country flowers card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card and Fresh As A Daisy dsp

Using Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the leafy spray in the upper left and lower right corners of the Balmy Blue card front.

I flagged the end of the 5⅞” by 2” piece of Fresh as a Daisy dsp and glued it down the centre of the card front.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to the centre of the 4¼” by 3” panel of Basic White card. I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set, in Balmy Blue ink below. The panel was then glued to the card front.

The image of the teapot was stamped onto a scrap of Fresh As A Daisy dsp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The leafy spray was stamped on scrap Basic White card with the same ink. Both pieces were then die cut using the Country Flowers Dies.

The leaves were coloured with the Granny Apple Green Blend Pens. I mounted the teapot and leaves onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Row of Coffee Cups – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are saying goodbye to the 2022 – 2024 In Colors which will retire in 10days. These bright, vibrant colours have been fun to use and I will miss them, particularly Parakeet Party! I have used the Latte Love stamp set and dies to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the row of coffee cups card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2⅛”
Parakeet Party card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Tahitian Tide card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky & Pecan Pie

From scraps of cardstock, I die cut a mini coffee cup in Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. I also die cut the little coffee pieces for the top of the cups from scrap Pecan Pie card.

I placed the cups on the 5⅞” by 2⅛” panel of Basic White card. I moved them around until I was happy with the layout. Each cup was then lifted up and the ‘coffee splatter’ image was stamped in the co-ordinating colour. I used 2^nd generation ink. Each cup was then added on a Dimensional.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink above the cups.

Using the Basic Borders Dies, I die cut a decorative edge from the strips of Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide card. These were then glued to the bottom of the stamped panel.

The whole piece was then glued to the Starry Sky card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used the co-ordinating Blends Pens to colour in the Classic Matte Dots, one for each colour. These were then added to the card front.

Today I am sharing a thank you card featuring a mug of coffee made using the Latte Love stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.

To recreate the coffee anyone card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Stargazing dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – For the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The panel of Stargazing dsp was adhered to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card. A length of White Diagonal Trim was wrapped around the panel before it was adhered to the Pretty Peacock card base.

The coffee mug, from the Latte Love stamp set, was stamped onto scrap Basic White card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it out using the Latte Love Dies.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the mug – Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and the Color Lifter.

From the square of Basic White card, I die cut a Deckled Circle. A Smoky Slate Blends Pen added some colour to ground the mug before it was glued down to the circle. The circle was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Country Flowers card

Here is a sweet card made using the Country Flowers stamp set and co-ordinating dies which will be available in my online shop from the 1^st May 2024. I made this card using the paper piecing technique.

Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Night of Navy & Black

To recreate the country flowers card, you will need:

Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Meandering Meadows dsp – 4 ¼” by 2 ¾”
Petunia Pop card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 3
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White and Masterfully Made dsp

Using the Countryside Corners Dies, I die cut a label from the piece of Meandering Meadows dsp and the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the labels together.

The 3 strips of Petunia Pop card were adhered to the Fresh Freesia card front and the label piece was glued over the top.

The teapot image, from Country Flowers stamp set was stamped on a scrap of Masterfully Made dsp and I fussy cut it out with scissors before adding it to the card front on Dimensionals.

The spray of flowers was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I used the Country Flowers Dies to cut out the image and coloured it with the following Blends Pens – Petal Pink, Petunia Pop, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly & Granny Apple Green. The coloured flowers were then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Purple Zinnias card

Today I am sharing a pretty purple zinnia card made using the Simply Zinnias stamp set and dies and the Perennial Lavender dsp.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the purple zinnia card, you will need:

Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Perennial Lavender dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Perennial Lavender dsp – 3¾” by 1”
Three colour glimmer paper – Highland Heather – 3¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The large piece of Perennial Lavender dsp was glued to the largest Basic White panel and then to the Gorgeous Grape card front.

The strip of Highland Heather Glimmer paper was glued to the strip of Perennial Lavender dsp and this piece was the adhered to the card front.

From the 4¼” by 2½” piece of Basic White card I die cut a rectangle using the Everyday Details dies. I used Gorgeous Grape ink to stamp the sentiment and to randomly add the dotty image.

I stamped the large zinnia flower and double leaf image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. These were then die cut using the Simply Zinnias Dies.

The images were coloured using the following Blends Pens – Light Fresh Freesia, Light & Dark Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly and Pretty Peacock. The flower and leaf were then glued to the die cut label. The label was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals
