Floating & Fluttering

A sweet butterfly themed thank you card made using the Floating and Fluttering stamp set and Fluttering dies.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Floating and Fluttering card, you will need:

Highland Heather card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pool Party – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 4” by 3¼”

I started by using a Blending Brush to apply some Pool Party ink to the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White and added some Pool Party speckles using a stamp from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.

The large butterfly image was stuck on the plate of my Stamparatus. I inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped onto the smallest piece of Basic White card. I like to use the Stamparatus so that I can stamp the image multiple times to get a really dark impression.

I used the infill stamps to add colour. Largest butterfly in Blushing Bride ink, the smallest butterfly in Highland Heather ink, the medium butterfly in So Saffron ink. All the foliage was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.

Flowers on Black for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects we have been working on. If you saw my blog post on the 31st January you will be aware that I have been enjoying playing with the fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the sheets of Flower & Field dsp. I am using the flowers again today to make a thank you card.

If you have hopped over from Annette’s blog, welcome.

Basic Black – 5½”” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5½”” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Basic Black – 3½” by 2½”

I started by running the Basic Black panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. This was glued to the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set onto scrap Basic White, flagged the end and added it to the card front with the liquid adhesive.

A pretty thank you card made using the gorgeous Paper Blooms dsp from Stampin' Up!

Paper Blooms

I am loving the designer series papers in the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure, there are 3 different papers packs to choose from and they are all gorgeous. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Paper Blooms dsp for this card as I love the colour palette of this paper stack, so pretty.

To recreate the paper blooms card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Rococo Rose card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 3” by 2”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I stuck the panel of pretty Paper Blooms dsp to the Rococo Rose layer. Using the same liquid glue.

I wrapped some of the Well Suited Night of Navy Twine around the panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then added to the Thick Basic White card base on Dimensionals.

From the small panel of Basic White card, I die cut the label using the Pierced Blooms dies which co-ordinate with this designer series paper. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Night of Navy ink and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Using the same dies I die cut some of the pretty flowers from the dsp and had fun trying out all the options before deciding what flowers I wanted to use where. They were added with a combination of Dimensionals and liquid glue.

I tucked the leaves in around the flowers and added some of the gorgeous Elegant Faceted Gems and a double bow to complete the card.

Inky Leaves for the Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog.  My name is Mo Rootes from Cambridge in the UK and I am thrilled to be taking part in this blog hop with fellow demonstrators, from around the world, who are part of Kylie Bertucci’s demonstrator training program. The theme for the hop is ‘Thank You’ and I am sure you will find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us

You may be starting here or have come from another blog – either way you can find the hop list at the bottom of this post so please hop along with us today.

To recreate the Inky Leaves card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Mossy Meadow – 4” by 3” – rounded lower right corner
Whisper White – 3⅞” by 2⅞” – rounded lower right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower right corner

Using the leafy image; I stamped in the upper right and lower left corners in Balmy Blue ink onto the Balmy Blue card front and set it aside.

I punched a 2” circle from the copy paper and used it as a mask to ink a circle onto the smaller panel of Whisper White. I used one of the lovely new Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue ink.

Using Mossy Meadow ink, I stamped the outline leaf image over the inked circle. I added the infill colour using 2nd generation Mossy Meadow ink.

I wrapped a piece of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen and Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the panel and tied them in a bow. The whole layer was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Elegant Faceted Gems. So Pretty.
