The Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty card

Shabby Chic Meadow

Today I am sharing a card made for a recent team challenge where our theme was ‘Shabby Chic’. This is so out of my comfort zone. I like clean and simple cards, bright colours so this topic was enough to bring me out in a rash……..

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the shabby chic meadow card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Crumb Cake – 5½” by 3¾”
Blushing Bride – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3¾”
Very Vanilla – 2¼” by 1¾”
Scrap Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake

Using 2nd generation Blushing Bride ink, I stamped the flower randomly all over the Blushing Bride panel. I added the scripty stamp using 2nd and 3rd generation Crumb Cake ink. Whilst I had the ink out I stamped in Crumb Cake ink in opposite corners of the Blushing Bride card front.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies

I ripped down the right side of the stamped panel – quite enjoyed it once I got started…… I inked around the edge of the stamped panel with a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink. I ripped down the right side of the Crumb Cake panel, stamped down the side with the speckled stamp before inking around the panel using the Dauber and Crumb Cake ink.

Using a Bone Folder, I broke down the fibres in the upper left corner of both the Crumb Cake panel and the Blushing Bride panel. This allowed me to pull the layers apart and curl the corner. The layers were then adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped some of the gorgeous and sadly retired Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon around the panel before adding the panel to the Blushing Bride card base.

I die cut a Very Vanilla Label from scarp Very Vanilla card using the Tasteful Labels dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Blushing Bride ink. I added the scripty image on the label in 2nd & 3rd generation Crumb Cake ink and inked around the edges in Crumb Cake ink and added it over the ribbon on Dimensionals.

Thank You Cookies for the Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop where we are sharing the thank you cards made for our customers. You are currently with Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK. This month I have made a thank you cookies card using the lovely Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. Who can resist a cookie?

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Thank you Cookies card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Early Espresso – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 3” by 1¾”

Taking one of the larger panels of Basic White I drew around the inside of one of the Tasteful Label Dies in the centre of the panel. This gave me a frame around which I could stamp the image.

Here is a pretty thank you card made using the new Flowers of Friendship stamp set which is available in the new Annual Catalogue which launched earlier this week. This was made for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where our theme is ‘All Things Floral’.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the friendship thank you card, you will need:

Daffodil Delight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Granny Apple Green & Basic White

I mounted both of the small leaves onto the same acrylic and randomly stamped them around the edge of the Daffodil Delight card front in Daffodil Delight ink.

The spray of flowers was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the wider panel of Basic White card. I cleaned the stamp and used a Post It Note to mask off the stem, flower and leaf to the right of the centre stem, inked up with the Early Espresso ink, removed the Post It Note and stamped to the left of the original image.

I used Blends Markers to colour in the flowers and leaves – Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

Using the lovely Scalloped Contour Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the coloured flower panel. This was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap strip of Basic White card.  I used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch to punch the sentiment out and punch a slightly larger label for a strip of Granny Apple Green.

The labels were glued together and a piece of White Bakers Twine was wrapped around and tied in a small bow. The label was added to the card on Dimensionals. I added a scattering of Artistry Bloom Sequins to complete the card.

I hope you like the card.

Please hop on to see what the other demos have to share with us today.

Simply Hand-penned for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hog

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where the theme is ‘simple stamping’. If you have hooped on from the lovely Gez Carpenter I am sure you loved her project. I usually find simple stamping a bit of a challenge, can’t resist using lots of layers and bling. I made s simply hand-penned card using the lovely new Hand-penned Petals stamp set and it was so easy to create a sweet but simple card with this set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the simply hand-penned card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2

I stamped the sweet image in Evening Evergreen ink onto one of the smaller Basic White panels.

Using the in-fill stamps I coloured the large flower with Polished Pink ink, the smaller flower with Pale Papaya ink and the leaves in Soft Succulent ink. I love these new colours.

I added the stamped layer to the larger panel of Basic White with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then added to the Soft Succulent card base.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Gold Glitter dots which have now sadly retired.
