Every 6 months Stampin’ Up! holds an event known as Onstage Live or Onstage Local in its 3 world markets – USA/Canada, Australia/New Zealand or Europe – UK, Germany, Austria, France, The Netherlands. Onstage Live is a 3 day extravaganza held once every 18 months in each of the 3 markets. Co-ordinating with this event there are multiple 1 day Onstage Local events in Germany, Austria, France, The Netherlands, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Onstage is where we demonstrators get together to drool over a new catalogue, watch demonstrations of new product, play with new product, have business related training sessions, get lots of freebies and network with other demos, sharing ideas and tips. It is always great fun and we all go home buzzing with ideas and inspiration
This week Onstage Live is happening in Amsterdam and I am going – whoop whoop – along with my lovely upline Mikaela and 4 other team members – we are going to have sssoooooo much fun.
One of the things many of us do at Onstage is called swapping – basically we bring along something we have designed and swap it for something made by someone else. It is a great way to come home with new ideas. We have to use current Stampin’ Up! product and often people make a card front rather than a full card. People also make bookmarks, boxes, bags, decorated clips etc……. you would not believe how ingenious and versatile peoples swaps can be. We also put a ‘recipe’ on the back of each with our name.
This year I have made 60 card fronts as my swaps, easier to take on a flight than the little bags I made for November’s Telford swaps. I cut strips of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped 3 – 4 kites using the Swirly Bird stamp set on each using a mixed variety of the colours listed below – no 2 card fronts are the same. I added a strip of either Chocolate Chip or Peakaboo Peach cardstock using Tombow Liquid Adhesive to the left hand side of the stamped piece and adhered this to a layer of Peakaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo or Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.
The greeting comes from the Banners For You stamp set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White cardstock before being die cut using the Bunch of Banners framelit dies and added to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals.
Can’t wait to start swapping with other demo’s in Amsterdam, hope like like my swaps.
