The Delicate Dahlia stamp set, a Sale-a-Bration choice, used for a pretty purple dahlia thank you card

Purple Dahlia

I am sharing a pretty purple dahlia thank you card today, made using the gorgeous Delicate Dahlia stamp set which is one of the free choices, with a £90 order, from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the purple dahlia card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Gorgeous Grape card – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 3” – rounded upper right corner
2021 – 2023 In Color dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Be Dazzling Speciality Paper – 5⅞” by ½”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I added the strip of Be Dazzling Speciality dsp to the piece of 2021 – 2023 In Color dsp then added them to the Thick Basic White card base.

The new Feels Like Home stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty water coloured card

Feels Like Home for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I have chosen to use the Feels Like Home stamp set, a free choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with a £45 order, and a bit of water colouring.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the feels like home card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5⅛” by 3⅝”
Fluid 100 Watercolor card – 5” by 3½”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the image in Basic Gray ink. I find I get a better image using the Stamparatus especially on this textured paper.

I like to use the lid of my inkpads as my palette, either by squeezing the pad to the lid or adding a drop of re-inker directly into the lid and adding water.

Using a Water Painter, I added a light wash of water to the tree, then added Old Olive ink and allowed it to spread. I moved on to paint the wall in the same way with Blushing Bride ink

The plant pots were painted with Misty Moonlight ink and the leaves and flowers added using Old Olive, Blushing Bride and Poppy Parade ink. The basket and seat of the bike were coloured with Soft Suede ink

I used my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write maker to define the door panels and the tree branches and used a Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Write Marker to draw in the bicycle.

The Art Gallery stamp set and Flower and Field designer series paper used to make a sweet thank you card

Floral Thank You Card

Today I am sharing a sweet split panel floral thank you card made using the Art Gallery stamp set and gorgeous Flower & Field designer series paper by Stampin’ Up!

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the floral thank you card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pool Party – 5½” by 3¾”
Vellum – 3⅜” by 2¼”
Flower & Field dsp – 6” by 1¼”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Scrap Basic White

I began by stamping the group of flowers image from the Art Gallery stamps set onto scrap Basic White card, once using Granny Apple Green ink and again in Pool Party ink. I then stamped the more detailed image in Bermuda Bay ink onto the Pool Party flowers. These flowers were then fussy cut out and added overtop of the Granny Apple Green flowers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive,

The panels were then added to the Pool Party card front using Dimensionals, leaving a gap of about 1” between the two panels.  I made sure not to put the Dimensionals too close to the edge of the panels so that I could slide the piece of Flower and Field dsp into the gap gluing it down with the liquid glue and trimming off the excess with Scissors.

A gorgeous new baby waterfall fun fold card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Baby Waterfall card

Here is a sweet waterfall baby card made using the gorgeous Baby Pull Toys stamps set and inspired by a card I saw on Youtube made by  US demonstrator  Cindy Brumbaugh – I have altered the sizes to fit A4 card.

Colours Used in this project are:

To recreate the Baby Waterfall card you will need:

Pacific Point card base – 11¾” by 4⅛” – scored at 5⅞”
Pacific Point – 8⅝” by 2¾” – Scored at 1¾”, 2½”, 3¼” & 4”
Pacific Point – 4⅛” by 1”
Berry Delightful dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Poppy Parade – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Daffodil Delight – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Just Jade – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Night of Navy – 2⅝” by 1⅝”
Bermuda Bay – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White – 2½” by 2½” x 3
Basic White – 3½” by 2½”
Basic White – 2½” by 1½”

I began by gluing the Berry Delightful dsp to the Pacific Point card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Adhere the small strip of Pacific Point card about 2 ¼” up from the bottom of the card front. Use strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape or Snail Plus and this piece gets a lot of pulling about.

A gorgeous new baby waterfall fun fold card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin' Up!

www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty waterfall card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

Next, I inserted the 4⅝” (longest side) end of the scored 8⅝” strip of Pacific Point into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch; it is wider than the opening so is a bit of a fiddle. Push it right to the end then punch. Pull it out and trim off the extra piece on each side.

A gorgeous new baby waterfall fun fold card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin' Up!

www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty waterfall card made using the Baby Pull Toys stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

Fold on all the score lines, slip the punched scalloped end of the Pacific Point under the strip of card you have just glued across the card. The scored part of the card will then be on top of the band. Using strong adhesive glue along the top of the scored panel – face down – adhere the piece to the bottom end of the band. This forms the waterfall mechanism.

Using adhesive at the top of each of the coloured panels, adhere them to the small scored strips of the waterfall panel.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the 3 images from the Baby Pull Toys stamp set on to the squares of Basic White card. I stamped sentiments from the same stamp set onto the smallest and largest Basic White panels and adhered these directly, with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, to the Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay panels.

I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the sweet little toy images – Gray Granite, Poppy Parade, Just Jade, Daffodil Delight, Cinnamon Cider and Mango Melody. I added a trio of hearts from the same stamp set on the largest Basic White piece and coloured these in using some of the same Blends Markers.

These stamped panels were then stuck onto the coloured panels using liquid glue. I added a length of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the scalloped end to work the waterfall mechanism and a 2020-2022 In Colour Dot to the end of each toy to complete the card.

I absolutely love it. So adorable.

A masculine birthday card made using the Approaching Perfection stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Perfection

Today I have been playing with the Approaching Perfection stamp set which is one of the free choices with a £45 order from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

To recreate the approaching perfection card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Just Jade – 5½” by 3¾“– rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝ – rounded upper right corner x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Misty Moonlight & Basic White

I grouped all the stamps from the Approaching Perfection stamp set onto one of the Stamparatus plates, as close as I could get them. Inked them up with Night of Navy ink and stamped them onto one of the Basic White panels.

The stamps were then taken off the Stamparatus plate and mounted onto individual clear blocks. I then used them to infill the blank spaces using the same ink.

Using Just Jade Blends Markers I coloured in the tiny balloons.

I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment on Just Jade ink onto scrap Basic White card. I added a strip of Misty Moonlight behind having flagged the ends. This was added to the stamped panel on Dimensionals.

The panels were glued together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and added to the card base with the same liquid glue.

Flowers and leaves fussy cut from the lovely Flowers & Fields dsp make a pretty thank you card.

Flower & Field

I have spent a happy few hours fussy cutting flowers and leaves from one of the sheets of dsp from the Flower & Field dsp – one of the free choices from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

To recreate the Flower & Field card, you will need:

Petal Pink – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Petal Pink – 5½” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5½” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Basic White – 3½” by 3½””

I started by running the Petal Pink panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. This was glued to the Petal Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using Flirty Flamingo ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set 9another free choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure) onto the small square of Basic White card. This was then die cut using the Layering Circle dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I trimmed off the right side of the die cut circle and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Then, I had great fun arranging all the flowers and leaves, fussy cut from the gorgeous Flower & Field dsp. I love the colour combo of this pack; they look so pretty together. I added them around the die cut sentiment using either liquid glue and/or Dimensionals.
