Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I am sharing a cards made using the gorgeous Summer Shadows dies which are available as a free choice with a £45 order in the Sale-a-Bration Brochure until the end of this month. These cards were inspired by projects made by a fellow demonstrator Tammy White and made to congratulate 2 of my team members on reaching sales targets..

Basic White card 5⅞” by 4⅛” – this will eventually be used on the Blackberry Bliss card Scrap of Basic White card – die cut the solid flower from the centre to act as a mask
Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner Blackberry Bliss card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded lower left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”x 2 – one for the inside – Rounded lower left corner Blackberry Bliss card – 3” by ⅞” Blackberry Bliss Scrap for die cutting

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Using the gorgeous Summer Shadows Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the solid flower randomly across the Basic White panel measuring 5⅞” by 4⅛”.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
The die cut panel was then placed over the top of one of the 5½” by 3¾” Basic White panel and held in place with washi tape. The die cut panel is deliberately larger than the panel below and will be trimmed down later.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
I used Blending Brushes to apply ink to the layers starting with Petal Pink, moving on to Flirty Flamingo, then Polished Pink and finishing with Magenta Madness. This gives a lovely ombre effect.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Carefully peel off the larger inked layer to reveal the inked flowers underneath. Set the larger panel to one side to use on the next card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Use the small panel of Basic White with the die cut flower as a mask, placing it over each inked flower in turn. Stamp the small flower from Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink, onto the inked flower before moving onto the next. Set to one side to dry.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Die cut enough detailed flowers, from scrap Blackberry Bliss card, to edge each of your inked flowers. To add the detailed flowers to the panel I squeezed some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto my Silicon Craft Sheet and used a piece of Sponge to add glue to the back of the die cut.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
The decorated panel was then added to the Blackberry Bliss layer with liquid glue and then to the Polished Pink card base on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Next, take the large inked panel that was set aside and glue it to the remaining Basic White panel. Use a trimmer to cut off the excess card and adhere the whole panel to the Polished Pink panel with liquid glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Die cut more of the detailed flowers from scrap Blackberry Bliss card stock and use the same glue and sponge method to glue then to the panel. Add the whole piece to the Blackberry Bliss card base on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Summer Shadows Dies used to make a card made for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop
Stamp the sentiments in Versamark ink onto the small pieces of Blackberry Bliss card, cover with White Embossing Powder and heat set with a Heat Tool. Add one sentiment to each card front. With liquid glue.

Today I am sharing a pretty card designed using the Summer Shadow Dies as my customer Make & Take for August 2021. Anyone who orders from me during the month will get this kit through the mail with instructions on how to make the card.
To recreate the Summer Shadow card, you will need:
Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Evening Evergreen – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper left corner, one for the inside Pansy Petals dsp – 5½” by 1” Pansy Petals dsp – 4” by ½” Scrap Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Succulent and Basic White
I began by gluing the 1” wide strip of striped dsp to one of the Basic White panels. Add the piece of gingham dsp on top towards the right-hand side. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
The sentiment, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink. My customers will have to chose a sentiment from their own stash.
The whole panel was added to the Evening Evergreen layer with the same glue and I used the same glue to adhere the panel to the Fresh Freesia card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
I used liquid glue to adhere the die cut detailed flowers to the flower bases. I had to move them around until they lined up. The liquid glue was squeezed out onto my Silicon Craft Mat, picked up with a Sponge Dauber and dabbed on the back of the detailed flower.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
Using my Bone Folder I curved the flowers to give them some shape. The darker flower was then glued to the card base with a spot of liquid glue in the centre.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
The second, lighter coloured flower was added on a Dimensional and the leaf tucked behind and secured with a dab of liquid glue.
I added a 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewel to the centre of each flower and a third to the jewel to the background.

I die cut a slightly smaller circle from the square of Basic White card using the same set of dies and ran it through the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Wintry 3D Duo Embossing Folder. Gives a subtle level of texture to the piece. The embossed circle was added to the scalloped Basic Black circle and then placed on the card front on Dimensionals.
